Dolly Parton's Message to Cher on Her 73rd Birthday (Video)

American singer and actress Cher recently celebrated her 73rd birthday. Making her feel loved on her special day, Dolly Parton took to Instagram to dedicate a loving message to her friend.

“Hi Cher, It’s Dolly. Happy birthday to you. We’re the same age now,” Parton, who turned 73 in January, remarked in an Instagram video.

Continuing her sweet message, the singer said: “Well, I might be a minute or two older than you but what’s a minute or two among friends and old bags like us? I don’t mean that. I think we’re holding up pretty good for our age. What are we now? 37? Yeah, that’s it. That’s it.”

The country star further added that she is proud of her beloved friend.

“I think you’re great. I hope you’ll be around for 100 more years to hang out with me if nothing else.”

Singing her way through the rest of the message, Parton concluded her message with the good old ‘Happy Birthday’ song along with her own number “I Will Always Love You.”

“Anyway, just know that I will always love you along with everybody else in the world. Happy birthday to you.”

Dolly wasn’t the only celebrity who took to social media to wish the iconic singer. Reality star Kim Kardashian West also shared a heartfelt message for Cher via. Twitter.

“Happy Birthday to my American sister @cher,” the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wrote.

Although Cher has not directly responded to her friends’ sweet tributes on her birthday, she thanked her fans for their love and support in a Twitter post.

The singer showed gratitude towards her fans for being there for her in every situation, be it pleasant or unpleasant. She went on to express how she is grateful to those who supported her art.
