Adrienne Houghton Celebrates Husband Israel's Birthday with Touching Tribute (Photo)
Israel Houghton just celebrated his birthday, and his wife Adrienne made sure to share a touching tribute just in time to greet him. The sweet message just proves how deep her love goes for Israel, whom she married back in 2016.
Adrienne Houghton loves her husband dearly, and she made sure to share this with the rest of her followers.
"I thank God that you were born!!! EVERY DAY!!! My best friend, My soulmate, The love of my life, My happy place.... YOU!"
Adrienne adds how much she loves Israel, who has been a huge part of her life since they've met.
"I love you with all my soul Israel & I like you... I really really really like you. I like you because I don't know why but everything that happens is nicer with you. I can't remember when I didn't like you."
A love that knows no bounds
Adrienne's life before crossing paths with Israel was purely showbusiness. Now that she's married to a gospel singer, her lifestyle has completely changed to fit that of Israel's, even converting to the Christian faith for him.
That's how much she truly loves him, hoping to be his partner in whatever aspect in life. However, she's revealed that this hasn't been easy with a lot of judgemental people in their faith.
Being married to a famous gospel singer, Isaac Houghton, Adrienne believes that people have been judging her for not truly being Christian. She says that because of Isaac's clean image, people expect her to act or look a certain way. She's even been called "fake religious" just to fit in with her partner.
“I’ve talked to you guys about this. I get it pretty bad. I think I take that and I never complain about it because at the end of the day, it’s like what Tam said: I’m not here for you, I’m here for Jesus. I feel God’s love every day in my life. I feel like people don’t realize church is like a hospital. It’s for the broken people, it’s not for the ones who are already saved. We need Jesus, so instead of pushing us away, you should accept us with open arms."
Regardless of this, she still believes in the true goodness of people and continues to go to church because she goes there for God, and not for anyone else.
