Patti LaBelle Put on Leggy Display in Skirt & Heels During Concert at the Forum
Patti LaBelle had legs to show for in a recent photo displaying her unwavering zest for music. The singer took the stage in a mini-skirt and high heels flaunting her enviable asset.
Patti LaBelle is 74 and yet her legs say otherwise. The iconic singer who’s been around in the industry for close to six decades defied her age during a performance on Mother’s Day.
KNOCKOUT IN HEELS
Patti sizzled in a mini-skirt in a photo shared on her Instagram. The black and white image was proof that she’s a knockout in heels. Her toned legs took center stage as she’s pictured belting out a tune. We imagine it was a powerful performance judging from the look in her face.
In her caption, she revealed she was at The Forum in Los Angeles performing alongside her friends Charlie Wilson and Stephanie Mills. “Good times!” she describes the TBT pic.
"I do what I can do. I do what I feel God has given me the energy to do, so I just go out there and I do it.”
UNSTOPPABLE
Patti is one seasoned performer who isn’t showing signs of slowing down. This month, she led an all-star concert for the launch of the climate non-profit Earth Call in Aspen. The electrifying singer kicked off the show with John Lennon’s “Imagine” backed by a full orchestra then ended the night by tossing the mic stand and kicking off her heels during her powerful rendition of “Takin’ it to the Streets.”
“It’s not about making money because I don’t need money, but I need to sing. With a voice or without, I’ve got to get on that stage.”
In June Patti is also scheduled to perform at the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn Festival and is expected to jolt her audience there.
LaBelle delights in performing and tells bricartsmedia.org she does what she does because it is a blessing from God.
“Each year I grow, and that’s a blessing from God. I do what I can do. I do what I feel God has given me the energy to do, so I just go out there and I do it.”
Patti adds that at this point in her life, it’s no longer about money.
“It’s not about making money because I don’t need money, but I need to sing. With a voice or without, I’ve got to get on that stage.”
AGE IS JUST A NUMBER
But singing is not all that’s keeping Patti young. Her romantic life is also proof that age is just a number. She’s reportedly been dating a much younger man for three years now. The man, Eric Seats, 44, was her drummer several years back. They connected while Patti was mending a broken heart.
Patti’s son, Zuri Edwards is said to be opposed to the relationship but she appears to be her happiest with Eric who has met Zuri’s daughter, Gia. In a recent clip of the four-year-old’s birthday, Eric was around with his own daughter who even danced with Patti.
Life is pretty sweet for the singer who manages to live it in full despite her age. Many could learn a thing or two from her voracious appetite to live.
