Serena Williams' Husband Alexis Seeks to Join Natural Hair Groups for His Daughter's Sake

Alexis Ohanian takes a deeper interest in his daughter's hair by using the internet as a tool to learn more about it. The doting father earned a wave of praises and support after he admitted following natural hair sites to help him be better at styling his daughter's locks.

How adorable is it that Alexis Ohanian is making an effort to learn more about doing his daughter’s hair.

DADDY ON HAIR DUTY

The #goals of a husband of Serena Williams is making wives swoon once again with his latest praiseworthy hands-on-dad move. He recently tweeted that he began following natural hair pages in an attempt to be better at styling his daughter, Olympia’s hair.

The 36-year-old Reddit founder earned more than 21,000 likes instantly after writing,

“Just applied to join 4 private Natural Hair facebook groups. I hope they don't auto-reject my application when they see my profile photo. I told them it was to keep getting better at doing my daughter's hair.”

One commenter commended him for his more than a simple gesture.

“You are an amazing dad, and there is so much that is said in this simple gesture. This is more than hair. This is you saying I care about my little girl. Hair is typically an important thing in a girls’ life. This is you showing her you value her interests.”

He also found a lot of support from other fathers who could relate to his predicament. They even shared photos of their amazing work on their children’s hair and we’re certain it was a vote of confidence for the struggling father.

This isn’t the first time Alexis took an interest in his family’s natural hair. Last year, he asked Serena how she kept her edges intact in response to fans who requested him to find out. He obliged and later shared a screenshot of his text conversation with Serena who replied she uses a new gel she jokingly called “Serena’s Secret.”

HANDS-ON MOM

Alexis as well as Serena take parenthood seriously and are often photographed spending time with their daughter. Serena is proud to admit she’s a hands-on mom who hasn’t spent a day apart from her daughter.

“I am with her every day since she was born,” she told People last month.

And when she’s on the court, Alexis is in the sidelines with Olympia cheering her on.

Of course, the couple also finds time to go on dates together sans their child. Recently, they showed up hand in hand at the Met Gala which Serena co-chaired this year. The tennis champ sashayed in an eye-catching neon yellow Versace gown with pink and yellow butterflies. She wore Nike sneaker as a nod to her profession.

Meanwhile, Alexis cleaned up nicely in black trousers and a white dress jacket with black trim. His support for Serena was evident as he stood alongside her allowing her to shine.

What a beautiful and admirable couple they are to be great as spouses and even greater as parents.
