Melania and Donald Trump Honor Late Soldiers by Planting Flags at Arlington National Ceremony
Donald and Melania Trump visited the Arlington Cemetery yesterday, May 23 to pay respects to late veterans.
The First Lady took to Instagram to share a group of pictures taken during the visit. She looked elegant as always wearing a sleeveless dress that reached well past her knees.
The collared dress had buttons down its front and big patch pockets placed on the chest and below the waist. The gown is cinched at the waist with a big black belt, the only accessory obvious asides the dark sunglasses she wore.
Melania paired the Dior dress with a black pair of pointy leather flats, the best choice considering she had to walk on low grass. Standing tall by her side was Donald, who wore an outfit that coordinated with his wife's: a black suit.
It was an all-black affair as the occasion; Flags-in ceremony is an annual event held to honor men and women who died serving their county in the military. It was an important one for Melania who posted numerous photos of the cemetery and captioned them saying:
“Honored to be at @ArlingtonNatl today & take part in #FlagsIn to remember our fallen heroes. God Bless our military, their families & God Bless our great Nation! @USArmyOldGuard.”
The pictures all captured moments during the event as the Trump couple planted flags at the graveyard. The photos were scenic and could easily be the model for a historical painting of sorts.
Melania’s particularly respectful show honoring the veterans this way, on her social media platform, elicited a massive response from fans. While a significant fraction pointed out her ever amazing and elegant style, a more considerable number lauded Melania’s presence during the occasion.
Obviously, in awe, a fan @chrystikuver2825 wrote:
“GOD BLESS PRESIDENT TRUMP & FIRST LADY MELANIA!!!! THEY LOVE ALL OUR MILITARY!!!”
Another @caroldpeter wrote:
“This makes my heart so full! Thank you for honoring those fallen heroes. My father is buried there, and this is America, and we love our President and First Lady!”
This visit to Arlington is not the first of Melania’s appearance at events like this. The former model has participated in numerous events just as crucial as this one, and she always manages to look very classy in doing so.
On May 22, the mother of one visited the Walter Reed National Military Center in Bethesda, Md. to honor wounded members of the military. This act and many others, hint at the lovely personality lying beneath all of that calm exterior she is known for.
