Prince William Fans Say Rob Lowe Has ‘No Class’ for Reportedly Calling Royal’s Hair Loss ‘Traumatic’
While speaking in an interview, Rob Lowe described Prince William's hair loss as “traumatic,” and royal fans have lashed out at him for it.
The actor, who has a head full of hair, was recently in an interview with “The Telegraph,” and it was there he poked fun at Prince William's bald head.
At the time, the interviewer asked Lowe if he was just as vain as men across the pond and it was then he brought up the subject of Prince William's hair loss. Lowe said:
“Can we talk about William? I mean the future king of your country let himself lose his own hair! So when I say British men set a very low bar… Honestly, one of the great traumatic experiences of my life was watching Prince William lose his hair.”
Although he was only trying to make a point about how the British weren't vain, his words have elicited a heated reaction from netizens who took to Twitter to lash out at him for his cruel joke.
One @katton6750 tweeted:
“Perhaps the future king has more important issues to focus on. Not shallow Hollywood vanity.”
Another, @KrisRafferty termed his words “shameful” saying:
“@RobLowe. A little Vanity..... ?? Dang stop looking in the mirror. Celebrate achievements not looks. Shameful!”
Because of the extreme reactions from netizens, Lowe’s comment is fast going viral as he hinted that he would never let his hair thin out like Prince Williams'. Not as long as there are many medical remedies out there anyways!
He mentioned that in response to the interviewer’s statement about how “traumatic” going bald at such a young age must have been for the Duke.
Lowe, 55, sharply replied stressing that Prince Williams is going to be the king of England someday but that he still hasn't done anything to remedy the damage despite the availability of "pills."
His words were harsh, and despite the turbulence on the internet as regards the matter, there is still no comment from the “Brothers and Sisters” actor. So far, netizens are still raging on, and some have gone so far as to uproot Lowe’s dark past in a bid to get back at him.
If it makes you feel any better, it is a fun fact that if not for dye, Lowe’s “full” hair would be stark gray by now. The father of two revealed this himself while explaining that his hair started graying as far back as when he was just 24!
Now that must have been some very significant trauma!
