Prince William's 'Salt n Pepper Beard' Has Fans Swooning Online
The Prince of Wales stepped out to champion eco-conscious innovation this week — and his string of appearances, from scientific labs to royal ceremonies, offered a varied look at his evolving public role.
Prince William recently drew widespread attention during a royal visit to Colorifix, an Earthshot Prize 2023 Finalist, where he was joined by actress and Earthshot Prize Council Member Cate Blanchett.

Following his visit to the biotech facility, Prince William continued a busy week of public duties with an appearance at one of Britain's most prestigious annual sporting events.
Just a day earlier, on June 18, he attended Royal Ascot. In an Instagram post, William was seen congratulating jockey William Buick, trainers John and Thady Gosden, and the winning horse Ombudsman on their victory in The Prince of Wales' Stakes.
During the event, Prince William presented the winning trophy while dressed in traditional race-day attire.

He wore a black morning coat paired with a light gray waistcoat and a pale blue tie patterned with white spots. William completed the look with a black top hat and a boutonnière pinned to his lapel. His beard, once again, was on full display.
Two days prior, on June 16, 2025, the Prince and Princess were present at the annual Order of the Garter ceremony in Windsor.
The event, one of the oldest and most formal traditions in the royal calendar, honors those recognized for their service to the nation or the Sovereign. Prince William participated in the day's ceremonial procession, wearing the distinctive velvet robes and plumed hat associated with the Order.

Princess Catherine, riding alongside him in a carriage, wore a cream outfit featuring a wide-brimmed hat and a layered pearl necklace. The couple was seen smiling and waving during the celebration, which included music and pageantry at Windsor Castle.
According to the royal family's official website, Garter Day is deeply rooted in tradition. Every June, the King, Members of the Royal Family, and up to 24 Companions of the Order participate in a grand procession through the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The Companions are personally chosen by the Sovereign to honor individuals who have held public office, made significant national contributions, or served the Sovereign directly. Dressed in ceremonial robes and insignia, the procession includes a marching band and Officers of the Order.
The weekend's royal engagements began with Trooping the Colour on June 14, 2025 — the annual parade marking the King's official birthday.
A pre-event Instagram post from The Prince and Princess of Wales featured the caption, "All ready for Trooping the Colour!" along with a behind-the-scenes family photo.
Later that day, Prince William, dressed in his ceremonial red military uniform adorned with medals and gold braid, stood alongside Princess Catherine and their three children for a formal photograph.
The Princess wore a teal coat dress with a white collar and matching hat, while their children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis — were dressed in formal outfits.
The couple also expressed gratitude to the military for their role in the ceremony, which included more than 1,000 soldiers, around 200 horses, and approximately 300 musicians. The celebration concluded with a flypast by the Royal Air Force's Red Arrows, who flew using a mix of sustainable aviation fuel.
From royal engagements to ceremonial appearances, Prince William's recent public outings have drawn attention not only for their significance but also for his evolving style, particularly his now widely noticed beard.
