Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban Sing a Wonderful Duet of 'Your Song' before 'Heading to Monterey'
Celebrities Nicole Kidman and her musician husband are literally couple goals! The two were captured live singing an old classic together backstage before attending the premiere of the actress’ series.
On Wednesday, Nicole Kidman, 51, and her husband Keith Urban, 51, were all dressed up and ready to attend the season 2 premiere of the actress’ series “Big Little Lies.” However, before attending the event while backstage they decided to have a duet.
The pair were recorded singing their own rendition of Elton John‘s “Your Song.” The moment was shared on Kidman’s Instagram account with the caption: “A little backstage moment before heading to Monterey…@KeithUrban.”
The actress appeared to be revisiting her “Moulin Rouge!” days where the song was featured in 2001. In the film, Kidman starred opposite fellow actor Ewan McGregor.
"I have the most extraordinary partner in life."
Urban, a Grammy Award-winning country singer sat at the piano and began singing: “It’s a little bit funny/This feeling inside/I’m not one of those who can/Easily hide.” His wife sweetly joined in singing passionately with her partner.
When Urban sang the line: “If I was a sculptor,” Kidman jokingly teased him by saying: “But you’re not.” Her little quip caused her husband to give a quick laugh.
The lovely celebrity couple has been caught live singing together on different occasions. Last October, the country singer shared a video of himself and the actress singing his song “Female” for International Day of the Girl.
In June 2014, the adorable couple surprised fans at the Monash Children’s Hospital in Australia with a mini-concert. Urban sang while playing the guitar and Kidman accompanied him by singing along to "Amazing Grace."
After their amazing rendition on Wednesday, Urban supported his wife by attending the premiere of her show in New York. On the red carpet, Kidman gave a quick interview where she spoke about their relationship.
Speaking about her husband she said:
"I have the most extraordinary partner in life. I will always say that about him. I'm one of the very fortunate women in the world to have had a wonderful father, and I have a wonderful husband, and I'm just very -- I love to be able to say that, because to talk about the good men that have influenced me and affected me.”
Ahead of the premiere, the actress shared a rare image of their daughters, Sunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, 8. She also has two adult children with her ex-husband Tom Cruise: son Connor, 24, and daughter Isabella, 26.
“Big Little Lies” season 2 premieres on June 9 on HBO.
For her “InStyle” June cover story, Kidman revealed that she preferred to stay home with her family instead of going out. She shared that her two “passions” in life were her acting and producing career and her family.
She stated: “I love having my artistic path, and then my other passion is my family. That’s probably all I need in my life.”
