Grace Kelly's Granddaughter Gets Married Wearing Her Grandma’s Iconic Diamond Necklace

Charlotte Casiraghi and Dimitri Rassam just got wed in a small ceremony in Monaco. Casiraghi is the granddaughter of the late American actress Grace Kelly who had a grand funeral as a royal.

Casiraghi, 32, is the daughter of Princess Caroline of Hanover, whose mother was Grace Kelly. The deceased actress married into royalty in 1956.

She and Prince Rainier III exchanged vows in the same place as Casiraghi, at the Ingrimadlia palace. Photos of the event can be found below.

Rassam, 37, is the son of French model and actress Carole Bouquet and producer Jean-Pierre Rassam. Both he and Casiraghi have children from previous relationships.

At their wedding on Saturday, the couple kept things small and simple. Casiraghi wore a grey, long-sleeve mini-dress from Anthony Vaccarello designed by Yves Saint Laurent, reported the Daily Mail.

Three large bows covered the front. Her loose hairstyle was done by John Nollet. Dimitri kept things classy with a navy blue suit paired with a light blue tie. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a small garden party.

The bride and groom also held a reception at the French Riviera's Villa La Vigie. Going for a more elegant look, Casiraghi was donned in a white, silky, Chanel tube gown that puffed out from her midriff.

Rassam matched in a white tuxedo and a black bow tie with black pants. Casiraghi's hair was sleeked back, reminiscent of her grandmother. Yet she made the obvious connection by wearing a jewelry piece from Kelly.

The diamond Cartier necklace stunned on Casiraghi's neck. The item was a gift from her grandmother's husband on their wedding day back in 1956. Her granddaughter's wedding, however, was much smaller than Kelly's funeral.

Hundreds came to pay their respects to the actress who died after suffering a stroke and incurring fatal injuries from the resulting car crash in September 1982. Back then, the beloved Princess Diana, among other royal members, attended the funeral.

Last weekend, royal members also joined in celebrating the nuptials of Casiraghi and Rassam. Present was the bride's mother, her brother Andrea, as well as his wife.

Also in attendance was Prince Albert II, Casiraghi's uncle, and his wife Princess Charlene reported People. Additionally, Rassam's mother was there for the occasion.

Rassam has been married once before. He and his new wife share one child together, seven-month-old Balthazar. Casiraghi works as a writer and magazine editor.

Although Casiraghi is credited for exuding her grandmother's beloved high fashion looks at her wedding, Kelly's other granddaughter Camille Gottlieb bears more of a striking resemblance to the late actress.

Gottlieb has the same piercing blue eyes as her grandmother. As seen on her Instagram account, the two also showcase similar facial features, reminding many of the famous classical Hollywood star.
