Beyoncé was seemingly fuming last night as a woman leaned over her to chat with her husband Jay-Z while sitting courtside at Game 3 of the NBA Finals. This has since sparked outrage from the Beyhive and a clapback from the intruding woman.

Beyoncé, 37, and Jay-Z stepped out on Wednesday night to watch the Golden State Warriors take on the Toronto Raptors at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, but it’s not the game that has gone viral today.

In a short clip posted to Twitter by ESPN, the music power couple is seen sitting side-by-side as they take in the game and wave to fans.

A woman seated beside Beyoncé, however, continues to lean over the singer to chat with Jay-Z (birth name Shawn Carter). Beyoncé, who looks lovely in a brown jacket, appears uncomfortable during the exchange.

She seemingly wears an icy expression while staring straight ahead as the other woman does not appear to take the hint. Towards the end of the video, Queen Bey, as her teeming fans call her, seems to shove the “intruder" slightly.

THE BEYHIVE AT WORK

The footage has since gone viral and Beyoncé’s die-hard fans, famously known as the Beyhive, have leaped to her defense in the comment section.

“Beyoncé don’t (sic) like that girl beside her at all,” observed one Twitter user.

“How dare her talk [sic] across Beyoncé,” echoed another angry fan.

BEYONCÉ'S VIDEO

“Test me like Beyoncé here, and it will be another day in the elevator,” added a third, referencing the infamous elevator scuffle between Jay-Z, and Beyoncé’s sister, Solange, five years ago.

The “Lemonade” singer also seems to have fueled the controversy with a video she posted from their courtside appearance where she expertly cropped out the woman invading her personal space. The clip is on the last slide.

THE OTHER WOMAN'S RESPONSE

The woman in question has since been identified as Nicole Curran, wife of Golden States Warriors' owner Joe Lacob and the Beyhive has wasted no time in bombarding her Instagram page with bee emojis, reports Daily Mail.

Curran has since turned off comments on her page but not before posting what seems to be a response to the backlash she’s receiving. (UPDATE: Nicole Curran has since deleted her Instagram page).

Alongside a picture of her adjusting Beyoncé’s hair during the game, Curran wrote:

“We should all help and support each other.”

The game ended in defeat for the Warriors as the Raptors beat them 123-109, bringing the score for the best-of-7 NBA Finals series to 2-1 in favor of the latter.

The teams last faced each other at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto where former president Barack Obama and rapper Drake (a Raptors superfan) made a special appearance.

Despite the Warriors’ loss, the Carters have cause to celebrate. Jay-Z was recently named by Forbes as the first hip-hop artist to become a billionaire while Beyoncé made it to the list of America’s richest self-made women.
