Don Johnson of ‘Miami Vice’ Fame's Five Marriages and Children

Did you know that the number of children Don Johnson has is the number of times he got married? He even married one spouse twice!

When people hear the name Don Johnson, what comes to mind is the ‘80s movie "Miami Vice," and his successful career as an actor, producer, singer, and songwriter.

His success made him the object of the affection of a lot of women, so much so that he walked down the aisle five times; twice with one woman.

Johnson's first two marriages didn't last long, and they got annulled days after the wedding for unknown reasons. He reportedly married the unnamed women between '68 and '73, one was allegedly a dancer and the other, a woman who only went after rich men.

After the two broken marriages, he met and married Patti D'Arbanville — a model and actress — in '81, and they were together until '85. The marriage produced a son, Jesse Johnson, and he followed his father's footsteps into Hollywood.

Next, the actor married Melanie Griffith — an actress. They met for the first time in '72 when she was 15, and dated for a while; interestingly, he married her in '76 before Patti, and the marriage lasted for only seven months.

In '89, they rekindled their romance, and Griffith delivered their daughter, Dakota Johnson, that same year. Sadly, the marriage ended in "96; Dakota followed her parents into the movie world.

Three years later, Johnson met and married a teacher — Kelley Phleger — and it turned out that in his case, the fifth time was the charm. The couple has been together since '99, and they had their daughter — Grace Johnson — that year.

They had two other children — Jasper in '02 and Deacon in '06. Grace is a photographer, Jasper is a basketballer, and Deacon is a social media influencer.

In 2017, the whole family came together to remember their paternal grandfather, and the proud father-of-five shared a family photo on Instagram.

Johnson's daughters share a close relationship and support each other, but in 2016, it was the Golden Globe winner and his ex, Griffith, that showed up to support Dakota at her "How To Be Single" movie premiere.

The young actress has also starred in some noteworthy films like the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie and its two sequels, and she also starred in the race movie " Need For Speed."

It might have taken Johnson five trials to get it right when it comes to women, but he has shown that he is a dedicated father who adores his children.
