Pauley Perrette’s Accusations against Mark Harmon Divides NCIS Fans
Pauley Perrette revisited her feud with Mark Harmon in a strongly-worded tweet that left fans in disarray.
Perrette, 50, posted some strong and deprecating words last week and fans are still scratching their heads as to what happened between the two.
Serious accusations like Harmon possibly attacking Perrette were thrown in the wind and some of the responses were just as headstrong. They can be found below.
Perrette wrote in her tweet:
"NO I AM NOT COMING BACK! EVER! (Please stop asking?) I am terrified of Harmon and him attacking me. I have nightmares about it. I have a new show that is SAFE AND HAPPY! You'll love it!"
Perrette played the beloved Abby Sciuto for 15 seasons of "NCIS" before leaving in 2018. Her exit from the show was surrounded by as much of a frenzy as this one.
Lauren Holly, who also starred on "NCIS," was one of those who responded to Perrette's tweet with words of support. "Same. Love you @PauleyP #truth wins," she wrote.
Holly left back in 2008, so underneath her tweet, there were confused fans who didn't support her comparison with Perrette's situation. Some simply asked her to explain the vague accusation.
Under Perrette's tweet, one user simply said: "Im confused, i had no idea mark done this." As to what Harmon did, user Bellz Webster said frankly, "Mark likely hasn't done anything."
Michael Rand was a bit more insistent with his defense of the actor:
"MILLIONS of us also love Mark Harmon and your crazy lies will not change that. You're twisting the truth. His dog bit someone and you're making it out to be murder. Dogs make mistakes. He had the dog leashed after. Dogs are family. Mark Harmon isn't the problem. You are Pauley."
Rand's theory follows the explanation that arose last year soon after Perrette left. It goes that Harmon's dog allegedly bit a crew member in 2016 and after that Perrette wanted the animal removed from the set.
The dog remained on but was put on a leash in or around Harmon's trailer. A photo of the injured crew member, as well as a final tweet from Perrette saying that she simply wanted to tell her truth, have reportedly been deleted.
Of course, Perrette's "truth" is as vague as they come, since fans still don't know exactly what happened and what, for sure, she is accusing Harmon of. Could it be the claim that Harmon "body checked" her on set?
The tension between the two was allegedly so bad that the crew eventually started filming Harmon and Perrette's scenes on separate days. According to Vanity Fair though, Perrette had decided to leave even before the dog bite happened.
After her departure, Perrette assured fans that her qualms were not with CBS, who she said has "always been so good" to her. The actress has a new show called "Broke" coming out soon on CBS which co-stars Jaime Camil.
