George HW Bush’s Granddaughter Honors ‘Dear Gamps’ in a Tearful Birthday Tribute

He may be gone, but he is still sorely missed. The granddaughter of former United States President, George H. W. Bush, took to Instagram to honor him with a heartfelt message on his birthday.

Had he been alive, George H. W. Bush would have clocked 95 on June 12. To honor his memory, many took time out to pay him a special tribute on social media platforms. The most heartwarming, however, is his granddaughter, Jenna Hague Bush’s.

The teacher and author took to Instagram the very day of George's 95th birthday to share a black and white photo of him and her daughter, Mila, who looks much like a younger version of her mother. With even no color, the picture is still amazing and gets whoever views it reminiscing back to when the legendary leader was alive.

In the picture, little Mila is adorably dressed in a white dress, matching white socks, a pair of kid shoes and has her hair accessories with a crown of tiny flowers. Right beside her is her world famous great grandfather who is all suited up hinting that the image might be a keepsake from a special occasion.

The picture is taken in front of a large fireplace and with two other seats beside George empty. Jenna references the empty seats in a heartfelt message she penned down to accompany the beautiful picture. The caption is perhaps the most endearing thing about the recent post from Jenna, who only lost George late last year.

She wrote alongside a single heart emoticon:

“Happy Birthday dear Gamps! Today: I imagine the empty chairs next to you filled with those you love. Gans, no doubt next to you, holding your hand. Love you more than tongue can tell.”

Her use of the fond term, “Gamps” is particularly charming and makes the message a very emotional one as she tried to picture George now even when he seems so far away. Till date, George Bush is one of the most respected American statesmen ever known because he did an excellent job as the 41st President of the United States.

The late politician is indeed one man of great reckon worldwide, and many still remember him so. In reverence, hundreds of people took to Jenna's comments section to share words relating how inspiring Bush was while alive.

Bush’s became rather popular in 1980 after he was elected vice-president and went on to become the president in 1988. Long before this, he already had one of the most excellent resumes in modern American presidential history. There really can't be another George H. W. Bush. May his soul continue to rest on in perfect peace.
