Miranda Lambert Embraces Her Stepmom Role by Praising New Husband's 'Amazing’ Son
Country icon Miranda Lambert opened up about her life with new husband and her stepson during a short conversation.
Speaking to Extra, Lambert praised her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, and explained that she was “loving that whole phase” of raising a stepson.
She also called her stepson “amazing,” and explained that she always had a motherly side to her because of raising “a million dogs.”
“My stepson is amazing. I’m loving that whole phase, and I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I’ve got that part of my womanly/motherly thing is full, so this is a whole new journey. It’s great.”
Lambert also talked about her life with McLoughlin. She praised her husband and stated that he was there to support her in her each endeavor.
She explained that McLoughlin is not a dog person and had not raised any dog or animals before being with Lambert.
Since the country singer is such a huge dog lover with her own foundation, MuttNation, which works for the rescue of dogs in need, McLoughlin has come to terms with that part of life.
“He’s a great guy and, bless his heart, he didn’t have any dogs or any animals at all when he came into this relationship, so he inherited a whole barn full…
Marching with us today, he knows how important that is to me. He lives with a crazy dog lady,” Lambert said.
