Gabrielle Union, Jessica Alba on 'Horrific' 'LA's Finest' On-Set Accident
"L.A.’s Finest" stars Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba spoke about the on-set accident that severely injured showrunner Brandon Sonnier.
Actresses Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba who co-star in the hit series "L.A.’s Finest" opened up about the horrific on-set accident in which two of the show's producers were severely injured.
The accident occurred in February while shooting the show which was set to premiere in May.

GABRIELLE UNION AND JESSICA ALBA DEVASTATED
Union opened up for the first time at the 59th Monte Carlo Television Festival and spoke about the accident which had left the production devastated.
The accident occurred when a stunt car crashed into showrunners, Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier during a car scene in San Pedro, California.
“I don’t know if saying ‘heartbreaking’ or ’devastating’ is enough. I don’t have a word,” she said.
The show is off to a flying start with praise for the series and the actresses flooding in from both the critics and the audience.
BRANDON SONNIER AND BRANDON MARGOLIS RUSHED TO HOSPITAL
Sonnier and Margolis were in the video village area of the set when the runaway car rammed into a cargo crate, which crashed into the video village, striking both men.
Sonnier and Margolis were extricated from the wreckage and rushed to the hospital for treatment.
BRANDON SONNIER SEVERELY INJURED
Sonnier, whose leg was pinned under the wreckage and partially severed, would end up losing the limb. The showrunner had his leg amputated below the knew.

Despite his horrific injury, Sonnier is bouncing back and adjusting to what he calls his "new normal."
Alba revealed that Sonnier was back at his normal activities with a week and a half of the accident.
“He was back coaching on the sidelines of his kids’ games within a week and a half. We were like… and he was like, ‘It’s my new normal; get on board, guys,’ ” she said.
According to Union and Alba actresses, Sonnier is back on set with his usual energy and enthusiasm.

The show is off to a flying start with praise for the series and the actresses flooding in from both the critics and the audience.
The show has proven such a hit, that just a month after its premiere it was announced that a second season had already been approved.
