Van Jones Reportedly Finalizes Divorce from Jana Carter after 13 Years of Marriage
Van Jones will be single again soon according to the latest reports from the courthouse. The CNN host whose wife filed for divorce in September is reportedly just waiting for the judge to sign on their papers that dissolve will their marriage.
The ink is almost dry on CNN host Van Jones’ divorce as news outlets now reveal he and his wife, Jana Carter are nearing the finish line of their marriage. Carter filed for divorce in September and The Blast now reveals it won’t be long before the process is over.
STILL WEARING THE WEDDING RING
Jones, who still considers Carter his best friend despite their separation was still wearing his wedding band when he appeared on “The Wendy Williams Show” in April. The show’s host, Wendy Williams even pointed it out to him raising the question on whether his marriage was really over.
When asked if he was dating, he said he wasn’t.
Williams’ comment urged the 50-year-old to counter the host who, like him was wearing her ring on her finger as they spoke. She was also in the middle of her high profile divorce with Kevin Hunter. That conversation ended with Williams deflecting and Jones declaring that he and Carter will always remain friends. When asked if he was dating, he said he wasn’t.

That being said, Jones will be single soon and will be available to date if he wanted to. According to documents obtained by The Blast, he and his wife submitted their final papers to the judge for his approval. Once they're signed, their 13-year-marriage is officially over.
The soon-to-be divorced couple has two children, Mattai and Cabral, who will be juggling their time between their parents.
MARRIAGE OVER, FAMILY FOREVER
That doesn’t mean though that the couple will be cutting ties for good. In fact, the host of "The Van Jones Show" clarified that the end of their marriage wasn’t the end of their family after news of their separation spread in September. He even shared a photo of the two of them with the hashtag, #FamilyForever.
The soon-to-be divorced couple has two children, Mattai and Cabral, who will be juggling their time between their parents. Carter asked for joint legal and physical custody when she filed for divorce. This means they are committed to co-parenting their kids even after their marriage ends for good.
