Joe Budden and Cyn Santana stormed the internet with reports of their split. However, their new social media updates have many thinking it was all staged.

A few days ago, the pair took to Twitter in what looked like an indirect banter of sorts. Santana sparked the exchange when she tweeted:

“Homebodies get cheated on too sis. Take ya stupid a– outside this summer!!!!”

While it seemed like it may have been a shade directed to her ex-fiance, nobody expected Budden’s next move just a few hours later. He tweeted:

“Not sure who needs to hear this but you don’t need an excuse or justification to h**…you can just h**.”

Although not a direct response to Santana’s post, the imminent meaning of his words left people thinking that it probably is.

As if to comfirm this, Santana came back two hours later to share a tweet about how love is not “painful, abusive or disrespectful.” She wrote:

“Don’t let these weak men measure your worth by how much bullshit you take from them baby girl! Love is not painful, abusive or disrespectful. Ride for you n yours only.”

The pair, who are the parents of one-year-old son, Lexington, reportedly broke up recently. This was due to what seems to be the cumulative result of the different troubles that have been plaguing their relationship.

It was all projected in the newest season of “Love & Hip Hop” where the two dealt with their past and Santana’s struggle with postpartum depression.

However, the pair looked to be doing well as they ironed things out between them on the show. This was why when the news of their split reached the media; many found it hard to believe.

It was just a rumor at first, but the former couple came forward sometime in May to confirm the suspicions.

Joe humorously revealed that they were no longer on speaking terms during a taping of his eponymous broadcast in Florida. During a live taping of the Joe Budden Podcast in Tampa, Florida, he said:

“Now, words are important. So what does that mean? What that means is, neither one of us said, It’s over’ Now with that said, we haven’t spoken. We haven’t spoken n a little while,”

However, Cyn quickly responded with a tweet mentioning that they had broken up for weeks and yet Budden didn't even know it!

They undoubtedly made some big news at the time, but after Budden’s recent Instagram Live video, fans are curiously questioning what the couple is getting at.

In a live video, the former American rapper hinted that the breakup was all a facade and a publicity stunt for “Love & Hip Hop.”

He said that Mona, the producer of “Love & Hip Hop” is “a genius” before honestly admitting that it may become a problem if he continued the video and thus signed off.

Since nothing has been heard from all parties concerned as regards the subject, fans can only wait for the next season of the show which many expect to show their split.
