The rapper and popular podcast host, Joe Budden popped the question to his lady in front of a live audience on Wednesday night. The "Love & Hip Hop New York" star's proposal was caught on video.
The couple started dating way back in 2016. They have a son whom they welcomed into the world last year.
Many people had found the relationship between the former Love & Hip Hop NY puzzling. Fans who watched Cyn's tumultuous relationship with Erica Mena while Budden had a rocky relationship with Tahiry Jose.
However, it seems the instability and messy relationships are part of their past. Now, it seems they are well on their way to becoming husband and wife.
Budden's fans hope that the marriage spells more stability and less trouble for his future. In the past, he was in many public feuds including a spat with Ashanti in 2017 and another with Migos.
During an interview on the “Everyday Struggle” show, Ashanti shut down Budden for making sexist comments. He has suggested that her clothing choices were the reason people treated her like a stripper on stage.
The Grammy-awarded singer hit back saying, "Hold it. I had on a body suit, with boots, which 90 percent of my peers wear, which we perform in. We’re there to do a show, so that’s what you wear.”
Now with the engagement announcement and video posted on social media, fans took to the comments to congratulate the couple. Many also hoped it would change Budden's views about women.
