Kobe first announced Vanessa’s pregnancy on New Year’s Day with a post that read, “Baby mamba on the way, 2019.” At the time, the Lakers ballplayer also revealed they were having another “#mambacita.”

“I think [Vanessa] wants a boy more than I do. I love having girls."

The couple already shares three girls - Natalia, 16, Gianna, 13, and Bianka, 2. Now that their fourth child is here, Kobe is one more daughter short of a women’s basketball team.

HE LOVES HAVING GIRLS

Kobe doesn’t mind having all girls on his team. In fact, back in March, he revealed he loved having girls.

“I think [Vanessa] wants a boy more than I do. I love having girls — I’m super, super excited about that,” he told Extra. However, he is considering trying for a boy if he “can deliver.”

"She [Vanessa] wanted a boy so he can be mama’s boy forever — that sort of thing. We’ll see if I can deliver, I don’t know.”

“We are beyond excited...”

Speaking of delivering, Vanessa and Kobe welcomed their fourth child on Thursday. The proud father shared a post on Instagram announcing the good news.

“We are beyond excited,” he wrote. Along with this he also shared the beautiful name he and his wife gave her – Capri Kobe Bryant and the nickname they chose, Koko.

KING OF THE HOUSEHOLD

With the arrival of Koko, Kobe will now have four princesses now in his court, something he always bragged about in the past when he spoke of being teased by his teammates for being outnumbered by women at home.

“My friends say, ‘It takes a real man to make a boy.’ I’m like, ‘Dude, it takes a king to make a princess … get in line!’”

And that’s not all, Kobe wants five princesses if he has his way. He told Ellen DeGeneres, “I would go for a solid starting five, you just have your own internal basketball team!”
