Josiah and Lauren Duggar Reveal the Gender of First Baby after Their Miscarriage
Lauren and Josiah Duggar are currently expecting their second child, which they announced back in May, but now the couple has officially revealed the gender of the baby.
In a statement to the Duggar family website, the proud parents said that they would be having a little girl and that she "truly is a gift, a miracle from God."
Lauren and Josian also shared the amazing news with their fans and followers on Instagram by posing for a sweet picture holding a frame saying "It's a girl," with pink balloons floating behind them.
DELIVERING THE GOOD NEWS
It has been reported that the couple made the big announcement at a party attended by family and friends and that there were several balloons filled with white, pink and blue confetti that guests had to pop.
When the last balloon was popped, guests saw the explosion of pink confetti and congratulated the young people, who couldn't be happier for their second chance.
Last month, after announcing that they were expecting, the couple said:
“Every good and perfect gift is from above and we are looking forward to this new season of parenting together!”
THE WORST DAY IN LAUREN'S LIFE
This new pregnancy is definitely a blessing for Lauren and Josiah, who went through a very traumatic experience a year ago after the 20-year-old suffered a miscarriage.
During an episode of "Counting On," the lovebirds opened up about the heartbreaking moment, with Lauren calling it the worst day of her life.
HOW IT HAPPENED
According to Josiah, they were getting ready to go on a trip to a friend's wedding when his wife started feeling really sick and he didn't know what was going on.
With tears in her eyes, Lauren, who was 19 at the time, explained that she had been having really bad cramps, which usually didn't happen. Initially, she thought she had eaten something with gluten in eat, which would have upset her stomach.
However, when she went to the bathroom that night, she was shocked to see the baby and was consumed by fear and desperation, hoping it was all a bad nightmare.
