On June 29, Paula took to Instagram to post a brand new picture of herself with the birthday boy.
“Happy birthday to my first-born, Jamie @j21m18. I love you so much, and I'm so proud of the wonderful man you've become over the past 52 beautiful years,” the doting mother wrote.
Jamie is a successful cook, businessman, and entrepreneur who has made a name for himself in the American television industry.
He is the owner of the famous restaurant “The Lady & Sons” in Savannah, which is co-owned by his mother Paula and brother Bobby.
Previously, Paula shared a picture of herself surrounded by her sons and husband, Michael Groover, on Instagram.
The queen of Southern cooking glowed as she posed for a snapshot with the most important men in her life.
Both of her sons have taken well after her with their culinary expertise.
While Jamie has written four books along with his brother Bobby, Bobby currently hosts a cooking show called “Not My Mama’s Meals” which airs on the Cooking Channel.
The second-born son of Paula also hosted “Holiday Baking Championship” and “Spring Baking Championship” on the Food Network.
DEEN FAMILY’S HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
The Deen family has made a good name in the culinary world but they did not become successful overnight.
Paula first started a lunch delivery service called “The Bag Lady” with her sons. Together, the family delivered bag lunches around town to business people in their workplaces.
As the business grew, the business expanded into a full-fledged restaurant in 1991. “The Bag Lady” was named “The Lady In The Best Western Hotel” on Savannah.
The success of “The Bag Lady” ultimately enabled the Deens to open “The Lady & Sons” on January 8, 1996.
