This performance spurred American dancer and singer, Julianne Hough, who is also a judge on "America's Got Talent" to give him the Golden Buzzer.

Luke Islam, the aspiring Broadway star from Wingspan Arts, Brooklyn, Newyork, received a rousing, standing ovation from the audience as well as the judges that moved the young star to tears.

Just before he sang, the upcoming star confessed that he and his sister have been long-time admirers of dancer and Judge Julianne Hough and her brother, Derek Hough and that if he were to choose a favourite judge, she would be the one.

With tears in her eyes, the judge commended Luke, telling him how she was very flattered that he admired her and her brother, even with such a great voice and energy like his. She said:

“ ...I believe that not only are you going to become a star and get your dreams to come true and I don’t think you need to wait that much longer."

Suddenly, with a dramatic gusto, she slams the golden buzzer, sending a ton of golden confetti showering down on the very shocked Luke.

The teary boy was overwhelmed by the gesture and the crowd’s reactions and was quite short of words, he however finally managed to say:

Previous speculations by both the audience and the other judges had been that this final buzzer was to be given to the 78-year old Blues singer and Vietnam veteran from Louisiana, Robert Finley.

Finley has been a famous singer in Louisiana for many years and has gone on to become an internationally known artist when he released his 2017 album Goin’ Platinum!, produced by Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach.

Although he sure is talented, Judge Hough seemed to have found more than just talent in Luke Islam and thus, awarded it to him. This buzzer spells an automatic advancement into the next season for Luke, and we can’t wait to see what the Young Star has in store for us!
