Kate Gosselin Reveals the 'M' Word Gives Her Anxiety
Kate Gosselin shared her thoughts on getting married again: “I don’t like the ‘M’ word,” despite it being a constant topic in their household, giver her two daughters are leaving for college.
The Gosselin matriarch recently got candid about her thoughts on getting married again after her divorce with ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, ten years ago. With her new TLC show “Kate Plus Date,” Gosselin’s experiencing what it’s like to mingle again.
“It felt fun and exciting, and it was actually my idea because there is more than, I mean there’s many single parents out there, and a lot of them are too, like me, too tired to date, too exhausted, bust taking care of your kids,” she told Fox News.
After jumping back into the dating scene, Gosselin frequently encounters topics and questions about marriage, specifically when she will get married again. She said:
“I don’t like the ‘M’ word. That actually gives me like anxiety and panic honestly. But I mean, again, that's a situation we'll deal with it when we get there.”
Gosselin also shared about her twins, Mady and Cara, going off to college and her sextuplets entering high school, adding that before she knows it, they too will be going to college. Because of the fast-paced situation, her kids talk to her about dating and not wanting their mom to be alone.
The Gosselin kids approved of the dating show before it even began as their mother wanted their blessing before taking on a new journey and part of her life. In one of the show’s recent episodes, Gosselin’s date got shocked after finding out how many kids she had.
Rosario, an Italian bachelor, asked the “Kate Plus 8” alum of her kids during their conversation about traveling. Gosselin shared that she “needs to” visit Europe, where her date grew up, along with her kids.
Rosario asked how many children she had, to which Gosselin replied: “I have eight.” The Italian’s face was in complete surprise after hearing his date’s reply and even repeated the question for verification.
“Once I answered him a second time, ‘Yes, I have eight kids,’ there was, like… I sensed a -- yes, shock. I, of course, I’m used to [that],” Gosselin shared.
