Kate Middleton Receives Autographed Shoes for Prince Louis from Tennis Legend Stan Smith
The royals attended the Wimbledon Men’s Tennis Finals on Sunday and were rewarded with a present unlike any other for one-year-old Prince Louis.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton was gifted a pair of limited edition tennis shoes for her son, Prince Louis at the Wimbledon Men’s Tennis Final.
The gift was courtesy of none other than the legendary tennis world champion, Stan Smith. The former tennis player handed the priceless gift to the duchess as she assumed her seat beside Prince William in the royal box at Wimbledon’s center court.
The tiny Adidas Stan Smith tennis shoes were autographed by the 1972 world champion, who looked on with a satisfied expression as the Duchess expressed her gratitude. Signed in Gold letters on the velcro trainers was the inscription, “To Louis.”
The royal mother of three could not hold back her admiration for the cute little green and white shoes. She held on to the heartwarming gift with a huge smile on her face for most of the match until she was handed a blue shoebox, which supposedly contained the other pair.
SHOES WEREN’T THE ONLY SHOW STEALERS
This grand gesture took place during the match between defending champion, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.
At the end of the match, the Duchess who is also the royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club presented the trophies to the winning champion, Novak and the runner up.
Dressed in a pale blue Emilia Wickstead dress, the royal patron looked stunning as she handed out the prizes. Undoubtedly, more eyes were set on her than on the prize winners.
WATCH OUT FOR THE BUDDING ATHLETE
Being a toddler has not stopped the little prince from making sports headlines. His presence at a Polo match last week did not go unnoticed as he made happy faces all through the match.
Coupled with his new pair of Stan Smith Adidas, the young prince has certainly signed up for a life of sports. Like his little brother, Prince George, Kate’s first son also made the news when he declared that Roger Federer was his favorite athlete.
This happened after the two got engaged in a private tennis lesson, and the tennis player confirmed that the 5-year-old had great tennis techniques.
ANOTHER ROYAL PRESENT
Louis was not the only prince who got a gift on Sunday. His 9-month-old cousin, Archie also got presents from two twelve-year-old girls at the “Lion King” premiere.
Meghan Markle was presented gifts for her son by Evie Chambers and Valentina Walker on her way into the theater.
The kind little girls got a bouquet, a book and a Simba toy for the 9-month-old.
