Amy Roloff Spends Quality Time with Boyfriend Chris Marek and His Family (Photos)
Amy Roloff is all about family — even if it's not her own. She enjoyed quality time with her boyfriend's relatives at a reunion and looked extremely happy while at it.
Amy, 54, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share three photos of her spending time with Chris Marek's family at what was apparently a reunion occasion. Typically, we see Marek with Amy's family, so it was a nice change that shows how Amy gets along with her boyfriend's flock as well.
Amy and Marek both get along with the other's families
"What a great time seeing a lot of Chris's family's at his family reunion," Amy wrote in the caption. The first photo was a selfie of her in front of Marek and six of his family members. The post is found below.
In the caption, Amy said she was happy to be there with Marek, to meet his family, and to hear more stories about Chris. "Life is a little more wonderful when it's about family and in all its little differences. Love!" she finished.
The second photo was of Marek hugging two family members in a grassy area outside. Three of them sat on a bench as they enjoyed the sunny weather and greenery.
Amy and Matt get along enough to film their show
The last photo was a selfie of Amy and Marek side by side smiling into the camera. The pair began dating since back in 2016, just a few months after Matt Roloff and Amy officially divorced following a 27-year-marriage.
The "Little People, Big World" stars continued filming their popular reality show despite the split. Matt paired up with longtime Roloff farm employee Caryn Chandler while Amy got together with Marek.
Marek has an adventurous side but the show focuses on pushing a bad side
Marek, a real estate agent, has never been married before, and fans wishfully anticipate that they might tie the knot anytime soon. In the meantime, they enjoy going on adventures together, a practice that began with their first motorcycle ride and continued with trips to British Columbia and even Canada.
According to Amy, though, they've had to combat a misleading portrayal of Marek on the hit show. As reported by Soapdirt, Amy's response to a fan who asked if Marek had ditched her again at a restaurant was, "no, and it's amazing what editing can make a story into."
The fan was making reference to a season 18 scene in which Amy and Marek had an argument that resulted in the latter getting up and leaving. The editors apparently made it look like Marek never returned.
He and Amy went on a trip that held a sweet connection to their past
The question was posed underneath another adventurous outing Amy and Marek made during the Fourth of July weekend. The two joined a group of friends for a motorcycle ride to the White Salmon River and the Klickitat valley.
Again, the couple looked to be living it up in the many photos they shared online. In the caption, Amy revealed that this was the route she and Marek took on their "first big ride together."
"What? Can it be 3 years already?" she rhetorically asked. Most fans praised the pair for being so happy together. In another reply, Amy clarified that Marek doesn't yet live with her but lives 45 minutes away. She concluded by saying that they're "enjoying dating each other for now."
