Amy Schumer Shares New Photo & Video with Son Gene, Sister Kim, and Her Niece
The recent mother has been uploading family photos and videos of a visit from her sister, amid her constant social media feed that keeps motherhood real.
38-year-old comedian and actress Amy Schumer spent some quality time with her sister Kim Caramele, as her recent social media activity shows, with the “Trainwreck” star sharing pictures and a video alongside her sibling and niece.
In one picture, Caramele and her daughter are seen posing with 2-month-old Gene Attell Fischer, Schumer’s first son with husband Chris, and Schumer’s sister-in-law Molly. “Cuz’ life,” Schumer simply captioned the photo.
Gene and his cousin looked adorable joining their heads together for the snapshot. The little girl wore a lemon-patterned dress that was praised by several of Schumer’s fans in the comments section of the post.
In a previous post, Schumer shared a video of Caramele, also her writer and road manager, snuggling with Gene, showing the beautiful bond she has created with the baby.
“When your sister becomes ‘Aunt Kim,’” the comedian captioned the clip, published on July 9.
The interaction between Gene and “Aunt Kim” stole the hearts of many social media users, who took to the comments section to share their love for aunts and express their joy for Schumer’s many blessings.
“Oh my gosh I remember being an aunt for the first time and it was the most magical thing ever!” one of Schumer’s fans wrote. “Pure auntie love! Nothing better!” someone else added. “Auntie love is the best love,” commented another user.
Back in June, Schumer celebrated her first birthday as a mother, and all she wanted to do on her special day was cuddling up in bed with then-4-week-old Gene and her husband.
“I recommend this,” she wrote over a selfie with the two men of her life, featuring it on her Instagram stories to mark the occasion.
But to keep things more traditionally festive, and true to her signature sense of humor, Schumer added a picture of a bunch of strangers in a random birthday party to pretend she actually threw one for herself.
“Today was the best birthday ever! I’m not in this picture and I don’t know these people but it was such a nice birthday,” she admitted.
Among the many first times she has been experiencing with her son, Schumer had the joy of giving Gene his first bath at home when the baby boy was only 2 weeks old.
Committed to her mission of sharing the less glamorous aspects of motherhood, Schumer joked about how uneventful it was to give the newborn a bath with the help of Chris.
“First bath no problem,” she wrote in an Instagram story that pictured the new parents all wet after fulfilling the task.
Despite been a devoted mother, Schumer’s career hasn’t slowed down a bit, and she recently celebrated the good news of her “Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special” Emmy nomination for her Netflix special “Growing.”
She joked about how she actually shared the nomination with her baby, considering that she was expecting him during the shooting of the show.
"Very proud and excited. Thank you, everyone, who voted and to my husband who wants me to never stop talking," she captioned a picture of Gene drinking from his baby bottle with his fist raised as if in celebration.
