Tami Roman Vows to Stay out of 'Basketball Wives' Drama, Admits She 'Acted a Fool'
Actress, Tami Roman has made a conscious decision to change the way she was portrayed in the television series, “Basket Ball Wives” after realizing that the producers of the show were only interested in showcasing her in awkward situations.
TAMI ROMAN'S DECISION
Tami Roman of “Basketball Wives” granted an interview with Hughley on a TV One show where she revealed that she decided to change the behavior her character portrayed on the show.
Tami attested to the fact that she realized the anchors of the show made a point of focusing on her negative aspects rather than balancing up both sides of her.
In the television personality’s opinion, a change in behavior would ascertain that the producers would not have any negativities to use against her image.
TAMI WANTS HER FANS TO KNOW
The television star shared a video cut out from her interview with “The DL Hughley Show” on Instagram, which showed her expressing her grievances over being attached to scandals and controversies on "Basketball Wives."
Roman admitted that although disagreements are bound to happen occasionally, she would prefer if the anchors did not attempt to pass her off as a villain who could not get along with her other cast members.
The star captioned the video with a reflection of how she contributed so much to the series, and her conscious decision to embrace change.
Following the post, fans pointed out that she was solely responsible for her previous behaviors on the earlier seasons of the show, and that the producers were not to blame. To this, she replied that she never denied acting a fool; she was only saying that they failed to balance the bad side with the good.
DONE FOR GOOD
Like most television shows, the series also attracts more viewers with the controversies and drama that play out, and the knowledge of this could be the reason why the producers made the effort.
“That’s what everybody wants to see and it’s everybody’s guilty pleasure.” the actress said.
But the star is determined to stop “Acting the Fool” to get more views for the show. In her words:
“I watched myself, and I said okay, so since you guys aren’t going to show the other side and all the wonderful things I do with philanthropy, and my charities and my relationship with my mom, then I’m going to make the changes, I’m going to be in control of the narratives.”
It can be recalled that sometime last year, the controversial actress also complained about her image representation on television. She revealed that her image on TV affected the way people thought of both her and her kids.
She also explained how her daughter, Jazz, experienced difficulty in her music career just because she was associated with the conflicting character. Now that Roman is done with the dramas, she is finally ready to set a clear path for herself and her children.
