Daily Joke: A Woman Went to See a Psychiatrist for Her Child
The mother of a troubled child was losing her mind over her son’s bad behavior, but a visit to a professional made her feel like everything was fine.
Raising a child is a very demanding business, and sometimes it can get so difficult that it can take a toll on a parent’s mental wellbeing. So much that the parent might need the help of a licensed medical expert.
In this joke we found at “Starts at 60,” a woman is prescribed a medicine that might have overdone it a little.

WAY TOO CALM
A woman went to consult a psychiatrist in search of a way to deal with her problematic child. The behavior of her son was getting to her nerves and she felt like she was reaching her limit.
“You are far too upset and worried about your son. I’m going to prescribe some tranquilizers for you. I suggest you take them regularly,” the psychiatrist recommended after a session.
A week later, the woman was back at the psychiatrist office, and the specialist asked her: “So, have the tranquilizers calmed you down?” To which she answered: “Yes, they have.”
Relieved about his patient being calmer about the situation, the psychiatrist wanted to know how things were going with the woman’s child.
“And how is your son now?” he asked. With a shrug of shoulders, the relaxed woman simply replied: “Who cares?!”
ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE
In another psychiatrist-related joke, a psychiatrist does his best mental effort to come up with a solution for his patient’s very complicated family situation.
After taking his time to listen to the patient’s story, frustration wins the psychiatrist over and he is left with no alternative but to join his patient in his self-prescribed “treatment.”
