On Thursday evening, actress Danielle Brooks was on hand at the Orange if the New Black season premiere in New York. The pregnant actress proudly showed off her baby bump in a gorgeous gown.
Danielle Brooks, 29, was one of the many stars who attended the Orange Is the New Black (OITNB) finale premiere in New York City. The glamorous event was held at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall.
Brooks took to the red carpet to pose for photographers while showing off her baby bump. The star is expecting her first child.
She looked amazing in a silver, long-sleeve sequin gown by fashion designer Christian Siriano, 33. To her red carpet sparkly look, the actress added a white, embellished tuxedo blazer and a matching oversized hat.
Brooks accessorized with diamond earrings and wore her hair in short waves which were pinned with shiny hair clips. She also took to Twitter to share an image of herself cradling her belly.
The actress captioned her post:
“This what you call a Glammed Up Pimp-Mama. ... Thank you @CSiriano for making look and feel so rich and expensive once again. #OrangeForever…”
Siriano is famous for having won Project Runway. He now works as a mentor on the Bravo reality competition series and also attendance and posed alongside Brooks.
The designer was also on hand to assist the actress on the red carpet with the long train of her fabulous dress. On OITNB, Brooks has played the character of an inmate called Taystee.
The character has featured in the series since the Netflix show premiered on July 11, 2013. On Friday, the seventh season and final season will be out.
On July 2, Brooks announced that she was pregnant via Instagram. She shared the news by posting an image of herself holding up a positive Clearblue digital pregnancy test.
In preparation for her first child, the actress finally bought her first home in Brooklyn. Speaking about the milestone she said: “Getting to buy my first home has been a joy and such an accomplishment. It’s always something that I wanted to do before thirty.”
She revealed that the location was a bit further to allow her and her boyfriend to “build a family.”
