Katie Couric and Daughter Ellie Look Identical in Matching Outfits While Plugging a New Show

Katie Couric and her daughter Elinor are mother-daughter goals! The identically dressed duo was all smiles in a recent photo posted on Instagram.

Katie recently took to Instagram to share a picture of herself with her daughter Ellie sporting matching outfits and fans agreed that they could easily pass for sisters.

Ellie is the firstborn daughter of Katie and her first husband, Jay Monahan. Besides Ellie, Katie is the mother of another beautiful daughter, Caroline.

ELINOR TURNS 28!

On July 23, Ellie celebrated her 28th birthday and her mother wished her with a heartwarming message with some rare family photos on Instagram.

“Elinor Tully Monahan!!!! Happy Birthday! This is going to be a great year. I’d write a lot of mushy stuff but not everything is for public consumption even though my followers feel like family. As the great Debby Boone would say, “You light up my life,” she wrote.

The 28-year-old lost her father to colon cancer when she was just 7 years old.

LIFE AFTER JAY MONAHAN’S DEATH

After Jay tragically passed away on January 28, 1998, Katie raised her daughters as a single mom. Although she got into a few relationships, they all failed.

She still missed the love of her life and could not settle down with another man for a long time.

It wasn’t until 2012 that she met the man of her life, John Molner. John is a banker who met Katie through a mutual friend. The duo got married on June 21, 2014, after staying engaged for 10 months.
