Remy Ma Attends Party with Husband Papoose after Finally Getting off Probation
Remy Ma and her husband Papoose went out to celebrate, and for good reason, as she is officially off parole over her alleged involvement in a shooting incident.
After five long years, Remy Ma is officially off probation after allegedly being involved in a shooting incident.
For her first night out since getting off parole, the 39-year-old sported a skin-tight black-and-white bodycon dress, which she revealed she was trying to take a photo of.
It turns out, her phone was recording the whole time and it ended up looking good anyway.
“Was trying to get the perfect lighting for my 1st #OffParole pic/post didn’t realize my phone was recording.”
Her Prison Stint
Back in 2007, Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years in prison for her involvement in a shooting outside a Manhattan deli. After serving six years, she was released in August 2014 and was put on five years of parole.
Now that it's done, she and Papoose can finally live in peace.
Of course, Papoose himself was really happy about the whole ordeal, posting something with a caption that read: "and they lived happily ever after."
New Assault Claims
While she was finally put off parole, she almost got involved in yet another legal case after reality TV star Brittney Taylor claims that the rapper assaulted her.
These assault claims might have changed the result of her being taken off probation, as it would violate it and ultimately bring her back to prison.
Her clash with "Love & Hip Hop" star Brittney Taylor allegedly started when her stepdaughter Dejanae was seen with an unidentified man. According to Taylor, she tried to save Dejanae from a man who was abusing her.
“What happened with me and Dej in Miami is I saved her – I saved her life. [Remy] got aggressive. She was like, ‘That’s not what I heard,’ and she punched me in the face,” Brittany shared.
Regardless of how that case turns out, though, Remy's gotten her freedom and she can now live in peace with the rest of her family.
