The two women appeared on "The Today Show" and quickly delved into the thought process behind the upcoming show. "We didn't want to do the same thing," Spelling explained.

She continued: "Everyone's done every reboot. There's technically a 90210 reboot called "90210." So, we wanted to do something different and we wanted to have fun."

The fun includes not just comedy, but "a little bit of everything" to suit their audience. "You have comedy, you have drama, you have emotion, little soap-y elements."

The women both looked classy and elegant in long ensembles. Spelling wore a short-sleeved soft green and pink robe with a v-neck cut while Garth adorned a long-sleeved pink blouse with a matching skirt.

As for Garth, she reflected on the reunion between the cast members. Of course, Luke Perry passed away and his absence was strongly felt on the set.

Nonetheless, Garth realized that "The minute we are back together, it's like no time has passed." She compared the group to "friends from high school," and connected their chemistry to the success of the original show as well as the new one.

In addition to the show's return, the two women will also be doing a tour and will meet with their longstanding fans in 13 cities over several nights.

Spelling and Garth attended one such event in Los Angeles on Saturday and their outfits were just right for the occasion. The pair wore 90s-themed dresses that were reminiscent of their 90210 characters.

Spelling wore a white dress with short poofy sleeves which had the name "Donna" spray-painted onto it. Similarly, Garth wore a sleeveless white dress with "Kelly" spray-painted all over it.

Spelling shared an Instagram post of them in their outfits with the caption, "MyBFF @jenniegarth and I were inspired to pay homage to our OG characters with modern pop in iconic #bh90210 colors."

The teaser was released mid-July and featured Spelling alongside Brian Austin Green who played David on the show. The two share a kiss in the clip — already giving fans something to look forward to in the show.

The clip also gives a glimpse of the rest of the cast members but is only 20 seconds long. Fans will just have to tune into the show, which is expected to have at least six episodes and will premiere on FOX TV.
