Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Said His Private Wedding Ceremony Was 'Very Quiet' but 'Phenomenal'

Famous Actor, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson opens up about his secret phenomenal wedding ceremony. The popular movie star and Lauren Hashian exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Hawaii on August 18.

Dwayne and Emily Blunt, his friend and fellow actor, were recently in an interview with Access while attending the D23 Expo. There, the father of three opened up about his wedding and he joyously tagged it a "phenomenal.”

Dwayne said:

"I feel great, it was a beautiful ceremony, and it was phenomenal."

Hinting at their need for privacy, he also spoke about how quiet it was, then in good spirits, actress, Emily Blunt (who was right beside him) cut in stating that she too was not aware of the ceremony and only got a last-minute invite herself.

According to her, she was on set filming "A Quiet Place 2."

The "Sicario" actress had Dwayne giving several excuses like how he sent her an "e-vite," this was followed by a reply from Blunt saying it was not enough notice to attend. She admonished by saying:

"It came way too late."

Blunt concluded with a smile on her face saying:

"Like an hour later you were married, so I didn't have any opportunity to hop on a plane and celebrate this."

Dwayne also shared that the location of the wedding ceremony had a special meaning for Emily Blunt, his "Jungle Cruise" co-star.

In another interview Dwayne Johnson had from the D23 Expo, he told Extra while referring to Emily and her husband, John Krasinski saying:

"Where we got married was in Kauai, two minutes from where they lived when we shot Jungle Cruise."

When asked about what comes next for them as a couple, Dwayne shares their plans, stating that they would be embarking on their honeymoon. He stated:

"She's waiting, and I fly back to her now, and we are going to have a honeymoon, it's going to be great, it's going to be fantastic."

Though the ceremony held on August 18, it was on August 19, when Dwayne announced it via his Instagram page, the public knew about the ceremony.

On that Monday morning, Dwayne took to his Instagram page to post two gorgeous photos taken during the ceremony.

The first photo featured Dwayne in a white shirt and matching pants alongside his gorgeous wife who had a long white lace dress which featured a low cut neckline with a long train.

The second photo saw the couple lip-locked near the water's edge with a setting sun making a beautiful background.

Though the newlyweds first met each other in 2006 while Dwayne had been in town filming "The Game Plan," they did not start dating until 2007.
