Tamron Hall Poses with 'American Idol' Alum Fantasia Barrino as They Team up for Host's New Show Theme Song, 'Shine'

Tamron Hall reveals Fantasia Barrino recorded the theme song of her new talk show. The women exchanged kind words for each other as they spoke of their collaboration.

Tamron Hall will be returning to television very soon and her comeback will also include the special participation of no less than Fantasia Barrino. Tamron tapped the “American Idol” winner to sing the theme song of her upcoming talk show, “Tamron Hall.”

“I knew I wanted to partner with her in some way; I didn't know then that it would be for the theme song for my daytime talk show, but I knew we were destined to do something together.

THEIR MUTUAL RESPECT FOR EACH OTHER

The two women share a mutual admiration for each other making their collaboration a powerful one. According to Fantasia who recorded the theme song, “Shine” for Tamron, she’s been a fan of the new mom for years.

“She represents all women out there who are strong, smart, hardworking and resilient. Women who are taking care of business while operating at high levels as great mothers, daughters, aunts, nieces, etc.”

Fantasia adds,

“This song represents the positive energy that these types of women fight to bring into their own communities, and I know Tamron will bring the same approach to viewers nationwide with her new show."

Meanwhile, Tamron reveals she knew she was destined to work with Fantasia after witnessing the singer’s life story from her discovery in “American Idol” to a performance she saw at The Apollo.

“Her story, her life and her presence shake me to my core,” she said. “I knew I wanted to partner with her in some way; I didn't know then that it would be for the theme song for my daytime talk show, but I knew we were destined to do something together. She embodies what it means to be a woman - she is loving and giving to others, and she shines."

CELEBRATING THEIR PARTNERSHIP

Yesterday, Tamron announced their partnership by way of an Instagram post revealing a photo of the two of them dressed to the nines. “Bam into the door she struts!!” the former “Today” host captions. “@tasiaword thank you for using your gift to encourage everyone to #SHINE.” She adds, “Women supporting other women!!!”

THE BUMPY ROAD TO TAMRON'S NEW SHOW

Fans of Tamron must be delighted that she’ll be back on air following a series of disappointments beginning with her exit from the “Today” show in 2017 when her segment with Al Roker was replaced by “Megyn Kelly TODAY.”

She then went into a partnership with The Weinstein Company for the production of her own show but due to the sexual assault scandal involving company boss Harvey Weinstein, the plans fizzled.

Finally, she managed to regain the rights to her talk show which will commence on September 9.

“I never thought I’d have to lose everything to gain even more, but I lost my spot and I gained a husband who roots for me, a beautiful baby boy who looks at me like I’m his entire world..."

WHAT SHE GAINED WHEN SHE LOST EVERYTHING

Tamron’s period away from the television spotlight gave her the time she needed to attend to her pregnancy and the birth of her first child. The 48-year-old welcomed her son, Moses in April with her new husband, Steven Greener. This, she gratefully told People in May, were two blessings that were born out of her career losses.

“I never thought I’d have to lose everything to gain even more, but I lost my spot and I gained a husband who roots for me, a beautiful baby boy who looks at me like I’m his entire world and not just his milk source, and I have a phenomenal daytime talk show team who every time we’re on the phone, they just want the best for me and I want the best for them.”

In just a few days, Tamron will be regaining her spot on the small screen. She expressed to People how lucky she felt to be able to get the chance.

“I feel it’s a reminder to everyone to not give up on your dreams and to bet on yourself,” she said. “I’m very grateful.”
