Baby Phat's Kimora Lee Simmons' Daughter Aoki Celebrates Black Excellence with Harvard Freshmen

Kimora Lee Simmons daughter Aoki Lee recently shared a series of pictures on Instagram to celebrate Black Excellence. The Harvard student posed with her female and male classmates as they all dressed in an all-white outfit.

"Melanin too dark to throw us shade. Swipe for excellence! #blackharvard #black convocation" Aoki captioned the post.

Her fans took to her comment section to write positive remarks and the beautiful young woman took the time to reply to some of her fans.

A fan wrote,

"I love the powerful energy of this pic. I know you're coming to create change," to which Aoki replied, "I'm planning on it."

"So you know every black person on campus?" Another person asked.

A third person wrote,

"now this warms my entire soul. Make sure you guys hold each other up and push one another to the finish line. #blackexcellence."

It feels like it was just yesterday that Kimora's daughter shared an emotional video of the moment she learned of her acceptance to the Ivy League school on her Instagram account.

She wrote,

"I'm only 16, and I'm going to Harvard baby!" before adding a crying face emoji.

Aoki also used the platform to make a joke about the infamous college admission scandal that involved some celebrities like Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin.

The teenager concluded her message by thanking everyone that's helped her through the journey.

"I am excited and honored, and so so grateful." She wrote.

Aoki's mother, Kimora also shared the good news on Instagram. The proud mom shared a video of her son Kenzo Lee reading Aoki's admissions letter out loud. The teenager who was also in the clip could be seen grinning as her brother read the message.

Kimora captioned the video with sweet and emotional words,

"Yaaaayyyyy @aokileesimmons!! She's on her way to #Harvard!! We are so proud of YOU!! Such hard work and only 16! You did it! It took years of super dedication and lots of tears! But HERE YOU ARE!!! GO GIRL!!!"

Before going to school, Aoki had her eyebrows done by Giselle Soto, a celebrity eyebrow specialist. According to the Harvard student, it was her sister Ming Lee that inspired her to get an eyebrow transformation.

The teenager was also a target of racism back in high school, but she took to Instagram to let her harassers know she doesn't have time to deal with such people because she has more important things to do, like working towards getting into an ivy league school.

Her dream finally came true!
