RHOP Star Gizelle Bryant Reveals She's Dating Pastor Ex-Husband Jamal H. Bryant Who Cheated on Her
Gizelle Bryant finally admits that she and her ex-husband, Jamal H. Bryant are dating again long after he cheated on her and 12 years after their divorce. "I feel like he's a different person," she said.
12 years after their divorce, Gizelle Bryant and her former husband, Jamal H. Bryant are dating again.
Gizelle opened up during the season 4 reunion of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” and revealed an interesting turn in her relationship with her ex-husband. The 49-year-old told viewers that the megachurch pastor is pursuing her again.
Gizelle shared that though they’ve been amicably co-parenting their three daughters and remained friends it was only last year when Jamal began to “heavily pursue” her.
She welcomed the idea and admitted “enjoying the pursuit” most especially because, in her own words, “There’s nobody who knows me like that man.”
Gizelle first spoke about their rumored reconciliation back in June when she appeared on "Watch What Happens Live." At the time she denied they were officially back together and only classified their relationship as that of close friends.
WHY THEY ENDED THEIR MARRIAGE
Gizelle was married to Jamal from 2002 to 2009. The marriage ended after she discovered Jamal was cheating on her. It took her a year after her discovery before she finally called it quits. She thought to give their marriage a chance to overcome the transgression but the marriage just fell apart.
ON DATING JAMAL AGAIN
Faced with the possibility of a reconciliation today, Gizelle says times are different and have changed them.
“I feel like he’s a different person, I’m a different person. So we’re baby stepping, but we’re moving in a direction that we want to move into.”
Gizelle also admits it’s a good direction to take for the sake of their children.
“I do love when we’re all together as a family.”
She reveals that the girls were confused lately because they’ve never seen their parents that way. They were only toddlers when the two split.
“So when he comes into town and he wants to take me out, they’re like, ‘Wait a minute, aren’t we all going?’ ‘Cause that’s what they normally do,” Gizelle explains.

SUPPORT FROM THE HOUSEWIVES
Meanwhile, her co-stars on “Real Housewives of Potomac” are very supportive of the reunion. Ashley Darby told her in their recent episode that it was great that she had forgiven Jamal and that they were getting to a great place.
Robyn Dixon agreed and added,
“It’s nothing like having your best friend who you know has your back and is supportive, regardless of what you’ve been through.”
Indeed, there is a lot of history worth looking back to which is probably why Gizelle is giving their relationship another shot. She herself said in a recent post that Jamal has her back and that’s a good place to start.
