Daily Joke: Little Boy Hears Knock at the Door

This little boy couldn’t quite grasp what the stranger in front of him was meaning, but his interpretation was certainly hilarious.

It is hard to be the youngest one at home and having to deal with the messes of your older relatives when they are not there to face the consequences. The poor boy in today’s joke from Stars at 60 is an example of that.

But if the man that demanded satisfaction from this boy’s parents was upset when he paid a visit to this family, the child’s response probably made him burst out with laughter, as it will do with you.

KNOCK, KNOCK

A young boy is home alone when suddenly there’s a knock at the door. The boy opens the door to see a farmer standing in front of him.

“Is your mum or dad home?” asks the farmer.

“No, they went to town,” answers the little boy.

“How about your brother, Howard? Is he here?”

“No, he went with Mum and Dad.”

The farmer stands there for a few minutes, shifting his weight from one foot to the other, mumbling to himself.

The young boy finally says: “I know where all the tools are if you want to borrow one. If that’s not why you’re here, I can give Mum or Dad a message.”

“Well,” the farmer looks extremely uncomfortable, “I need to talk to your dad about your brother, Howard, getting my daughter, Suzy, pregnant.”

The boy tilts his head to the side and thinks about that for a moment before saying:

“You’ll have to talk to my Dad about that. I know he charges $50 for our bulls to service other folks’ cows and he charges $15 for our boars to service other folks’ sows. But, I have no idea how much he charges for Howard.”

Children might know that women get pregnant, but that doesn’t mean they actually understand what pregnancy implies. That is why the younger ones are always fun to watch when they are near a woman that’s expecting.
