Goldie Hawn’s Six Grandkids: Her Children Kate and Oliver Hudson Have Three Each

Actress and producer Goldie Hawn, best known for “Cactus Flower” is the proud grandmother of six children – three from daughter Kate and three from son Oliver.

Although most people know Goldie as the multi-awarded celebrity who has been in a relationship with actor Kurt Russell, her personal life is not as known as everyone think.

Goldie Hawn’s relationships

The actress has been married twice in her life. Her first husband was actor, dancer, and director Gus Trikonis, whose most notable acting role was as Indio on “West Side Story.”

They married on May 16, 1969, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Unfortunately, they split in April 1973 and finalized their divorce in 1976. They didn’t have any children during their romance.

The same year that their split became official, she and the vocalist of the Hudson Brothers, Bill Hudson, tied the knot in Takoma Park, Maryland. They were married from July 3, 1976, to 1982.

Together, they welcomed two children, Oliver, born on September 7, 1976, and Kate Hudson, born on April 19, 1979. Starting on Valentine’s Day 1983, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been in a relationship. They only had one son, Wyatt, who was born on July 10, 1986.

Goldie’s three children followed in her footsteps as all of them are related to the entertainment industry.

In Oliver’s case, he is an actor best known as Adam Rhodes in “Rules of Engagement” and Jeff Fordham on “Nashville.” His most recent role was as Martin on “Splitting Up Together.”

Kate, on the other hand, rose to prominence thanks to “Almost Famous,” which granted her a Golden Globe and was nominated to an Oscar. Apart from that, she co-founded the fitness brand Fabletics.

Finally, Wyatt started his career as a hockey player. He was a goaltender in different amateur and professional teams, but injuries cut short his career. After that, he has gotten roles in TV shows such as “Lodge 49” and the upcoming “Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”

Apart from being a wonderful mother, Goldie is also a grandma of six. Oliver has been married to actress Erinn Bartlett since June 2006, and they have had three children together: sons Wilder and Bodhi, and daughter Rio, born in 2007, 2010, and 2013 respectively.

In Kate’s case, she has had three children with three different men. Ryder, born in 2004 to musician Chris Robinson; Bingham, born in 2011 to Matt Bellamy; and Rani, born in 2018 to Danny Fujikawa.

Her thoughts on being a mother

Soon after Kate’s daughter was born, Goldie Hawn talked to People and shared some advice on parenting, pointing out that mothers should remember to be gentle on themselves.

“Certainly, as a mother, I’ve made mistakes,” Goldie admitted. “We all do, we all will. But the most important thing is to stay authentic and true to yourself and hope that you show by example, not by what you say but by what you do.”

The 73-year-old actress added that she was proud of Kate for becoming a spokesperson for children’s wellness, happiness, and “all the things that she grew up with.”

Finally, when it comes to having a baby, Goldie admitted that “each stage brings you a different kind of happiness” and that, even though sometimes children will drive parents crazy, they have to focus on the joy.

She saved Oliver’s life

Goldie is definitely one of the celebrity moms you want to listen to in terms of children. Not only because she has three, but also because she saved Oliver when he was just a baby.

Unfortunately, he was born with health problems and had to be taken to the NICU. After praying for him, Goldie placed her hand on his chest and asked God to use her to heal her son.

Right after that, Oliver’s vital signs started getting stronger. When the doctors saw that, he told her that mothers have the power to save their children.

Thankfully, Oliver got better and is a very handsome actor nowadays with a successful career in the entertainment industry and a big, beautiful family.
