'My Man' Singer Toni Braxton Shares Sweet Tribute to Sister Towanda on Her 46th Birthday

Best known for her role as "Officer Payne" in the 2017 horror movie "Misguided Behaviour" Towanda Braxton is the younger sister of singer Toni Braxton. The actress turned fifty-one on Wednesday, September 18 and her sisters took to Instagram to celebrate her.

Toni shared a clip of a song playing over a picture of Towanda looking ageless. The "My Man" singer captioned the post:

"Screaming happy BORNday to my baby sister @itowandabraxton, everyone SCREAM with me!"

Tamar also took time out to celebrate her elder sister as she shared a black-and-white candid of Towanda looking beautiful as she smiled away from the camera. The 51-year-old is also rocking bangs in the image. Tamar captioned the post:

"My sister. My friend @itowandabraxtons. Happy birthday! I love you."

Even though it was her birthday, Towanda wasn't left out of the celebration as she also shared the black-and-white picture Tamar did. Towanda's caption was, however, more extended:

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills whence cometh my help...I am truly thankful and blessed that God has held my hand as I was walking through the wilderness. I have cried, laughed, and grew while learning essential lessons. I love my wonderful children, my amazing family, an incredible man @itsseank who loves and supports me, my awesome friends, and social media family. Happy birthday to me!"

Towanda and Tamar sharing the same photo of the celebrant might be because of the special bond they share that fans have recognized and commented on.

Their fans have even gone as far as stating they "look like a lot more than sisters."

Besides sharing similar looks with her younger sister, Towanda is doing much better. Reports that she filed for bankruptcy surfaced online, back in April.

The report claimed that the "Good Life" singer had only $150 left in her bank account while owing Tamar $35,000.

In the same month, reports stated that Towanda had found love after she divorced her husband of thirteen years, Andre Carter. Although the "story" on her new man is limited, she does acknowledge his presence and love in her Instagram birthday post.
