Jessica Simpson's Trainer Harley Pasternak Details How the Singer Lost 100 Pounds
Jessica Simpson's trainer credited her 100-lb weight loss to other factors outside of hitting the gym, while revealing her plan to maintain it going forward.
Jessica Simpson is 100-lb slimmer and loving every moment of it. She equally loves the fact that she didn't have to undergo any rigorous workout, and her current fitness plan is sustainable.
Simpson's trainer, Harley Pasternak, while speaking to E! News said that the actress gained 240-lbs during her pregnancy with her third child with Eric Johnson — Bridie Mae.
To achieve this, the trainer came up with a plan that included healthy meals and light exercises
After delivering in March, the mom-of-three gave herself a six-month target to get her pre-baby body back. But beyond that, Pasternak said she wanted a plan she could continue when the six months elapse.
He said:
"It had to be more than just getting back from her baby weight, but how do I do whatever I am doing now, forever."
To achieve this, the trainer came up with a plan that included healthy meals and light exercises. After Simpson's body healed, he started her with taking 6,000 steps per day, and built it up to 14,000.
The actress walked on the treadmill, or walking around with her kids.

Also, the "Sweetkick," creator had the actress on three meals per day, consisting of lean proteins and veggies, and she had two snacks of a handful of almonds, and parmesan green beans.
Pasternak explained that the plan aimed to give Simpson tasty and healthier food options.
The actress also stayed away from her phone for one hour a day, and her trainer ensured that she got seven hours of sleep. On the importance of being well-rested, the "Body Reset Diet" creator said:
"So many people undervalue the importance of sleep in weightless, and weight management."

Simpson checked in with Pasternak every day and gave him reports on her accomplishments for each day. After six months, the plan worked, and the third time mom took to Instagram to show off her post-baby body.
"6 months. 100 pounds down (yes, I tipped the scale at 240)," adding, "My first trip away from #BirdieMae, and emotional for many reasons, but feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder."
Simpson, who is also mom to son, Ace, and daughter, Maxwell, is happier about her body and feels healthier, and with the two, she has more self-confidence.
