Video of 'Clueless' Star Stacey Dash's Arrest for Alleged Domestic Violence Has Been Released

Bodycam footage from one of the police officers who took Stacey Dash out of her home has been released to the public, showing the "Clueless" actress fighting back tears as she asks if she's being arrested.

Newly obtained footage of "Clueless" actress Stacey Dash's arrest shows her dressed in an oversized gray shirt dress with her hair tied up. As she's being cuffed, she asks if she's being arrested.

The deputy assures her that he was about to explain everything to her as they got inside his police car, to which Dash peacefully agrees.

Walking Towards the Cop Car

The police then proceed to ask her a couple of questions as they walk to the car, such as whether or not she's ever been arrested, to which she responds "no." When asked where she was born, she simply responds "Bronx," as the policeman says he's from upstate New York.

Asking a few more questions, she was then asked what she does, to which she replies "I'm an actress."When the deputy pressed which shows she's been in, she says she was in a movie named "Clueless," which to date is her most successful movie appearance.

Dash then proceeds to explain her stint as a Fox News interviewer, before they arrived in the police car where she was given a quick body search.

The Alleged Domestic Battery Incident

On September 29, Stacey Dash was taken from her home following an alleged domestic battery incident against her husband. According to her manager, Nick Terry, Stacey, and her husband had a fight in their home in Pasco County, Florida which led to deputies being dispatched to their place.

While no charges were pressed by her husband, Dash had to be arrested as a formality. The day after, her husband appeared in court on her behalf, and she was released from the Land O' Lakes detention facility.

Her Manager's Statement

In Nick Terry's statement, he made sure to clarify the news that was circulating, saying not everything being written online is true.

“The marital dispute, while personal and unfortunate, has since been blown out of proportion. An earlier report on TMZ.com said her manager told TMZ that she was attacked by her husband – both the sources relationship to Ms. Dash and the events of the evening were misrepresented. Ms. Dash is a domestic abuse survivor from a previous relationship and has championed for other abuse victims to speak up. The untruthfulness being reported saddens Ms. Dash and her family – no further comments will be made and we ask that Ms. Dash and her family’s privacy will be respected.”

The Cause of Arrest

As for why she was arrested, the Paso County Sheriff's office confirmed that the 52-year-old actress was arrested for domestic battery.

"She was arrested on probable cause due to the evidence at the scene.”

It turns out, Stacey Dash was allegedly pushing and slapping her husband at home, when police responded to a domestic dispute call at 7:45 PM on September 29. She was released after being held on a $500 bail.
