People: Princess Beatrice's Friends 'Are Delighted' after News of Her Engagement to Italian Property Tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Princess Beatrice recently announced news of her engagement to billionaire boyfriend, Mozzi and it appears that her friends are over the top with excitement, especially following her painful breakup three years ago.

According to reports from "People," Princess Beatrice's close friends are delighted with the announcement especially following her shocking breakup from Uber executive, Dave Clark in 2016.

An anonymous source told "People":

"It's such happy news! All of her friends are delighted."

A friend also acknowledged that the breakup from Clark had been a painful one for Beatrice which made the news of her engagement to Mozzi one that is very welcome.

The source added:

"She was so devastated by that, so it is really lovely to have this."

The source further described Mozzi as "a great support" for the 31-year-old royal. Mozzi, who is fondly nicknamed Edo, reportedly popped the question last month while they were away on vacation in his native country, Italy.

The beautiful couple affirmed the news with a public statement that had them expressing a longing to get married. They said.

"We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can't wait to be married."

Going by what can be gleaned from the media, Beatrice's family, including her parents Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who also witnessed her breakup with Clark, are very supportive of her and Mozzi.

Princess Beatrice's love life is hardly talked about with all the spotlight usually focused on her siblings. It is, however, reported that her relationship with Dave Clark lasted for ten years!

E! News explains that it was thanks to Prince Williams that Princess Beatrice and Clark first met in 2006. The pair hit it off immediately and went on to become the dynamic duo.

While the gorgeous princess studied History at the University of London, Clark served as head of astronaut relations at Virgin Atlantic, and together, they built up quite the circle of well-heeled friends.

Disaster struck in 2016 when the pair allegedly decided they needed a "break." Many thought the break would only last a few weeks or maybe months only for Clark to propose to Lynn Anderson after few months of meeting her.

The ordeal was an emotional blow for Princess Beatrice and the Royal family, which explains the great joy going about the world-famous clan as she finally prepares to walk down the aisle.

Princess Beatrice and Mozzi have declared that the wedding will hold in 2020. They are, however, yet to reveal the exact date.
