The team seems to be dealing with a mysterious plane crash, all while Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) is still coming to terms with his previous anguish from the premiere episode.

The private plane crash comes after the Navy pilot claims to have seen an unidentified flying object before him. Although the possibility of having aliens on the show is quite slim, the team is sure to find out the mystery object promptly.

Episode two is also looking at Pride's traumas, after having suffered near-death experiences and deaths from family. The episode describes that he:

"Suffers from insomnia and nightmares as a result of being kidnapped and drugged last year."

Hopefully, Pride's work back together with the team, instead of with higher-up officials, can ease his suffering and mental health.

"NCIS: New Orleans" was renewed alongside "NCIS: Los Angeles" for it's sixth and eleventh season, respectively. According to CBS President Kelly Kahl:

"Both shows have been key pillars to the CBS schedule for several years. They offer heroic stories, big stars, and have attracted a passionate, loyal fan base. We're excited to have Chris, Scott, and these terrific cases back to bring more terrific NCIS stories to viewers in the U.S. and around the world."

However, unlike "NCIS: Los Angeles," "NCIS: New Orleans" experienced a 10 percent decrease in its ratings from the previous season. Yet, fans of both shows are still thrilled to have a season renew and a show to keep them up again.
