The "Clueless" star and conservative politician left Florida's Land-O-Lakes Detention Facility after spending a night. The outlet further revealed that Dash, 52, has been appointed a public defender and entered a written plea of not guilty.

"I’m the stepmother, how they all hate me. They’re just disrespectful, awful children."

Dash was arrested on Sunday after an alleged domestic violence incident involving her husband at their Florida home. She was booked on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

It was Dash who first called 911 on September 29. In the audio obtained by TMZ, she can be heard saying: "I've been assaulted by my husband." The actress added that Marty "put [her] into a chokehold" after she pushed his teen daughter away during an argument.

Bodycam footage obtained by the outlet also showed Dash’s confusion at getting arrested. She was also seen explaining to the officer how she’d been in films and also worked as a Fox News contributor.

"No charges were pressed by her husband, however, Deputies arrested Ms. Dash peacefully, as a formality."

In a shocking twist, however, authorities told news outlets that it was Dash who pushed and slapped her husband, leaving him with scratches on the arm. She was consequently arrested and charged.

According to PEOPLE, Dash’s manager, Sean P. Jackson, initially claimed that she was acting in self-defense to an attack from Marty, but another statement from the actress debunked those claims.

Dash reportedly said she and her husband "had a marital dispute in their Tampa, FL suburb" and confirmed the cops' arrival at their home on Sunday.

The statement continued:

"No charges were pressed by her husband, however, Deputies arrested Ms. Dash peacefully, as a formality. Ms. Dash's husband appeared in court today, September 30th, on her behalf and Ms. Dash was released from the Land O’ Lakes detention facility. No further legal action is pending."

Dash and Marty tied the knot secretly on April 6, 2018, reportedly only ten days after they met. The actress was previously married to producer, Brian Lovell, British executive James Maby, and actor Emmanuel Xeureb.
