Twitter is abuzz as fans of famous American sitcom "Modern Family" take to the platform to voice their opinion about actress Ariel Winter's new hair color after her guest appearance on "Law & Order: SVU."
"Modern Family" is currently airing its eleventh and final season, but avid followers of the show got to see one of their favorite cast members, Ariel Winter star in "Law & Order: SVU."
ARIEL WINTER DYES HER HAIR FOR "LAW & ORDER: SVU"
The gorgeous star debuted new strawberry blonde hair in the October 3 episode of the famous crime series, "The Darkest Journey Home."
In it, Winter portrayed the role of Reagan, a young woman who believes she is the victim of sexual assault.
Although Winter gave a sterling performance as expected, it was the new shade of her hair that sparked a string of comments from surprised fans of "Modern Family."
Her hair, which Winter is known to keep long and quite vampy, was of a gorgeous strawberry blonde shade. It seemed the perfect fit for Winter and particularly one that helped her get into Reagan's character.

WINTER EXPLAINS THAT REAGAN IS "SPECIAL TO ME"
Just the day before the episode aired on October 3, 21-year-old Winter took to Instagram to share that getting to play Reagan is a critical task for her.
That can perhaps explain why she gave such an excellent performance onscreen. "Reagan is wildly different from any character I've played," Winter wrote on Instagram.
"She's special to me because she's a realistic person. She's not perfect, she's still figuring herself out." She continued by writing,
"She likes to go out and drink and experiment, and like many of us, she struggles with accepting herself and being honest."
The "Sofia the First" star further explains that it was a bit challenging to bring Reagan "to life" because "I have a fear of failure and a hard time relinquishing control."
She then commended long-standing SVU actress Mariska Hargitay, who is especially known for her ever-evolving hair looks on the show, for helping her get comfortable while filming the episode.
