In a video shared on Russell’s Instagram account, the little girl, who dressed as Princess Tiana in a green gown and floral tiara upon hearing “When We Are Human,” started dancing. The song played by the Disney World matching band is from the animated movie, “The Princess and the Frog.”

Sydney danced with arm movements, leg taps, and it got the attention of a PhotoPass photographer, who took the little girl to the front of the band. She danced her heart out, twirling in the end with loud cheers from the crowd.

In the caption, Russell wrote

“Dance like no one’s watching! Her makeover experience was amazing… and then this happened. She’s the definition of the phrase #LiveYourNowDream. I absolutely love her.”

In another post, the proud mom showed the moment her daughter got her Princess Tiana’s makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Disney World.

She revealed that the makeover was a surprise, writing,

“While [Sydney] knew about the trip [to Disney World], she had no idea about her princess makeover.”

The surprise was well-received, and Sydney’s dance performance went viral with thousands of views and appreciative comments. It equally got her a meeting with the real Princess Tiana, and she gushed about meeting her during an appearance on “Good Morning America.”

The little girl stated she had a lot in common with the Disney Princess, and the list includes liking the color green, baking, and both of them being black. Russell, on her part, said about her daughter’s dance moves on the morning show,

“It was just a surreal moment. She is super extroverted, [has] a big personality, [and] she’s just a show stopper.”

Sydney is a lover of performance arts and attended her first dance lesson at the age of three. In addition to dancing, she sings, acts, and has a website dedicated to her performances. The little girl is dedicated to her craft and has the unwavering support of Russell and her family.
