It was no surprise that the producers of the Showtime’s series found her a worthy character for the show’s third season. In a recent interview, the mother of one spoke about her new role.

“I have power, 90210, and I’m also in Chicago right now filming Lena Waithe’s show, ‘The Chi.’ That’s been a great experience for me,” she said.

STILL AN AMAZING SHOW DESPITE SCANDALS

While speaking to her interviewers, the movie star expressed her admiration for the show creator, Lena Waithe, also stating that she was glad to be on one of Lena’s creations.

“I’ve always wanted to work with her and so when this came up, I was like, ‘there’s no way I’m going to pass this opportunity up.’ ‘The Chi’ is such an amazing show. I was a fan before I was on the show,” Anthony revealed.

The Showtime’s show earlier got some negative press coverage following the inappropriate behavior of a former cast who has since been fired from the series.

JASON’S SEXUAL SCANDAL

Earlier this year, one of the stars of the hit series, Jason Mitchell got suspended following allegations of sexual harassment, which was confirmed by both Showtime and Netflix.

Months later, the “Desperados” actor made a release concerning the accusations leveled against him, urging his fans to disregard whatever they must have read about him on the media.

However, after issuing his ambiguous statement, the African-American actor went ahead to enroll in a counseling and behavior developmental program, The Shade Room reported.

The embattled star has since completed the course, which enabled him to work on anger management, self-awareness, acceptance of responsibility, and purpose.

His new resolution is a step to rebuilding his career but does not guarantee his way back into his old gig on Lena’s show.
