Christie Brinkley Looks Just like Her Daughter in Behind-The-Scenes Photos on DWTS
Christie Brinkley took some behind the scenes shots with her daughter on DWTS and we weren't quite sure who exactly was getting ready to hit the dance floor.
The former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model gave her 21-year-old daughter the type of competition any girl would want in a side by side photo of the mother-daughter pair.
In the mirror selfie of the two, an ageless Christie stood while her daughter Sailor sat in front of a glam area. The post, shared by Christie, can be found below.
Aside from the actress' blonde hair which was let loose, Christie and her daughter Sailor shared a strong resemblance to each other. If Christie wasn't the one who shared the picture, we might take a second look to be sure she was the one standing.
Christie shared other pictures from the "Dancing With The Stars" set which featured outside views, the makeup artist at work, audience views, the hosts, and, finally, her daughter onstage.
In the caption, the model used Sailor's name to joke around a bit about her daughter's "unexpected adventure into Ballroom Dancing." Of course, Sailor is merely carrying the torch for Christie.
The 65-year-old was set to appear on the show this season but was forced to exit after she broke her arm during rehearsals. Her daughter will actually be taking her place.
Sailor's partner is professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, and so far the pair are doing amazingly well. Sailor feels good not just with her scores, but with the obligation to work on her body for the show.
"It also makes me feel a lot better about myself because I feel like a machine," she told People magazine. Sailor, who also models, described herself as insecure and a bit pressured by her mother's past.
Furthermore, the young filmmaker and photographer had only three days to practice before she went on stage in her mother's place. She eventually went on to do an outstanding foxtrot to Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl."
Meanwhile, Christie is on the road to recovery since her injuries. She now has a scar and has taken up physical therapy. Sailor's appearance on the show is mostly for her mom.
However, Christie has expressed a desire to return to the show as soon as she can. Sailor revealed that her new hope is to win the Mirrorball Trophy and eventually mentor her mother for the dance competition.
