Eddie Murphy, Who Is a Dad of 10, Talks about Age Difference between His Youngest Son and Granddaughter

Eddie Murphy talks about his 10 children and about his first grandchild who just happens to nearly the same age as his youngest son.

Comedian and actor Eddie Murphy opened up to Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" where he was promoting his new movie, "Dolemite Is My Name."

But the conversation diverged to Eddie's family and his 10 children. 10...and counting.

TEN IS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR EDDIE MURPHY

The 58-year-old comedian has just welcomed his first grandchild by his son Miles and girlfriend Carly - a little girl called Evie.

The funny thing is that Evie is almost the same age as Eddie's 10th child, a boy he shares with fianceé Paige Butcher. Eddie thinks it's hilarious. He said:

“I have my first grandchild. So I think she’s five months — a five-month-old grandchild and a 10-month-old son. Guess that makes me a heck of a fella. My son is my granddaughter’s uncle.”

EDDIE MURPHY DOESN'T WANT TO BE CALLED GRANDFATHER

When Ryan and Kelly asked him what he imagined his grandchildren calling him, and Eddie immediately explained that he'd prefer to be called “Pa-Pa” to grandfather. He said:

“Pa-Pa. Granddad just didn’t sound or feel right .Pa-Pa is nice.”

Eddie shares 5 children with ex-wife Nicole, one each with Tamara Hood, Paulette McNeely, and Spice Girls singer Melanie Brown, and two with his fianceé Australian actress Paige, 39.

EDDIE MURPHY WELCOMES HIS TENTH CHILD

Eddie Murphy and his fiancée Paige Butcher welcomed their second child together and the comedian's 10th on November 30, 2018.

A representative for the actor issued a statement:

"The baby weighed 6 lbs., 11oz. and was 19 inches at birth. Both mother and son are doing well. This is the tenth child for Murphy, the second for Butcher."

The couple have named their son Max Charles Murphy, in honor of Eddie's brother, actor Charlie Murphy, who died of leukemia in 2017.

Eddie and Paige also share a 2-year-old daughter, Izzy Oona Murphy, a big sister for little Max.
