Shots Fired at Rihanna's Mansion While She Was Inside
Gunfire shattered the calm of an upscale hillside neighborhood Sunday afternoon when a barrage of rifle shots rang out toward a celebrity's Los Angeles mansion, all while the superstar was reportedly inside. The incident left neighbors stunned and authorities scrambling to track down the suspect.
The shocking episode unfolded Sunday afternoon outside the Beverly Crest home of Rihanna, the chart-topping singer behind the hit song "Umbrella."

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers rushed to the property in the 9500 block of Heather Road in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood after reports of gunfire at around 1:21 p.m.
Investigators say a woman drove to the property and opened fire toward the sprawling mansion, sending multiple rounds toward the residence while the singer was inside.
Police later confirmed that the suspect allegedly fired between seven and nine rounds from an AR-15-style rifle, with four of the bullets striking the house. Despite the terrifying burst of gunfire, authorities said no injuries were reported.

Chaos Erupts Outside Star's Mansion
Police quickly launched a search for the suspect in the minutes following the shooting. According to law enforcement communications reviewed by the Los Angeles Times, the shots were fired from a vehicle parked across the street from the property's gate. Dispatch audio suggested that at least 10 shots rang out before the vehicle sped away from the scene.
Authorities said the suspect fled in a white Tesla, which was then seen heading south on Coldwater Canyon Drive. A police helicopter soon located the vehicle and followed it to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks. Officers arrested the 30-year-old female suspect roughly 30 minutes after the frantic 911 call reporting the gunfire.

LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias revealed what investigators discovered after taking the suspect into custody. "When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings," Arias said.
Police also discovered bullet holes in the gate of the property and in an RV parked in the driveway. Law enforcement sources revealed that at least one round penetrated a wall of the mansion, underscoring just how close the shooting came to striking someone inside the home.
Photos taken at the scene later showed yellow police tape surrounding the property as officers temporarily shut down the street during the investigation. Officials have not yet announced a motive for the shooting. Investigators say they are still working to determine why the suspect allegedly targeted the singer's property.

Family Reportedly Safe After Scare
Sources close to the family said the singer and her loved ones are safe after the frightening ordeal. A source told the New York Post, "They are all doing okay."
Police confirmed that Rihanna was home when the shots were fired, though it remains unclear who else may have been inside the house at the time. Her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, was not home during the shooting, according to a family source.

The couple share three children together. Their son RZA was born in May 2022, while their second son Riot Rose arrived in August 2023. The pair recently welcomed their daughter Rocki Irish Mayers, who is about five months old. Authorities have not indicated whether any of the children were present when the gunfire erupted.
Terrifying Gunfire Leaves Neighbors Stunned
Neighbors in the normally tranquil hillside community said the sound of gunfire left them stunned. One resident, Isabel Thorne, said she was inside her home when the noise suddenly shattered the quiet afternoon.
"I was just washing dishes in my house, and I heard shots," Thorne said. "I was a little shocked. You know, we don't hear that kind of thing in this neighborhood."

She added that incidents like this are extremely rare in the area, and residents soon began discussing the situation through a neighborhood chat group. "We have a neighborhood chat, so everybody started hearing the police scanners saying there was gunshots," she said.
She added that many locals are well aware of who lives at the property because tour buses frequently pass through the neighborhood.
Another resident, Keith England, said he heard multiple loud bangs while working inside his home. "I didn't see anything. I heard. I was working on music, minding my own business, middle of the afternoon, and then bam, bam, and it's like, it's a pretty unmistakable sound," England said. "Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, like probably ten shots."
He added that the sound clearly did not resemble fireworks or a car backfiring. "It's just one of those things, it's like, that's not a car backfiring, that's not fireworks, that's somebody shooting a gun, as it turns out, it was," he said.
The Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Division is now handling the investigation. Authorities have not released further details about the suspect or what may have led to the gunfire at Rihanna's residence.
Inside the Beverly Hills Mansion
The shooting unfolded at the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood home where the singer lives with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky. The couple's residence is a $13.8 million colonial-style mansion tucked away on a secluded cul-de-sac in one of Los Angeles' most exclusive and tightly guarded enclaves.
The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom estate sits on nearly 22,000 square feet of land, offering a remarkable level of privacy for the high-profile family. Tall hedges, imposing security gates, and a long driveway leading to a two-car garage help shield the luxury property from prying eyes.
Originally built in the 1930s, the sprawling estate has undergone several renovations over the decades. Today, it boasts lavish amenities including a swimming pool, cabana area, fire pits, a guest house, and multiple outdoor entertainment spaces designed for relaxing and hosting guests.
Inside, the mansion features a spacious chef's kitchen complete with marble countertops, elegant herringbone wood flooring, and two oversized islands fitted with gold hardware sinks.
The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances including a wine fridge, a fire-burning stove, two ovens, and modern lighting fixtures — creating a space that blends luxury design with everyday functionality.
The home also includes a fully equipped fitness center with its own outdoor terrace, allowing the family to exercise while overlooking the scenic grounds of the property.
Several entertainment areas are spread throughout the residence. The family room features stylish modern furniture, a large television, and floor-to-ceiling views of the pool and landscaped garden. Nearby, a cozy breakfast nook and a formal dining room illuminated by a chandelier provide additional gathering spaces for family meals and guests.
Outside, the grounds offer multiple seating areas surrounding the pool and fire pits — creating a serene retreat designed for relaxation despite the chaos that unfolded outside the gates.
Security Concerns Resurface After Earlier Break-Ins
The terrifying shooting incident is not the first time one of the singer's homes has been targeted. In 2018, her Hollywood Hills mansion was broken into twice within a short period, prompting authorities to launch an investigation after responding to reports of a break-in at the property on Hillside Drive.
Earlier that year, a man identified as Eduardo Leon managed to enter the home after climbing over a fence. Police said he remained inside the property for approximately 12 hours before he was discovered by the singer's assistant, who immediately alerted authorities.
At the time, the singer was not home when the unsettling incident occurred. Prosecutors later charged Leon with felony counts of stalking, burglary, and vandalism, along with a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest.
Now, following Sunday's alarming burst of gunfire outside the Beverly Hills mansion, attention has once again turned to the safety challenges facing wealthy and well-known residents. Investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery-Homicide Division are continuing to examine the latest incident.
For now, authorities say they are still working to determine what may have motivated the suspect to allegedly open fire on the home where the singer and her family live.
